Hello, this is Rob coven, I want to go through the last bit of the steam interface. And that is the part that you get when you click on your profile image on the right hand side. And what you can see in the drop down there. So the first thing you can see in the drop down is the feed. And that is actually what you will get if you just go to the homepage, it will go to your feed, and your feed is the latest posts from the people that you follow. So this is the stuff that I'm interested in.
These are the people I'm interested in, and these are their latest posts, and I can upvote them here or I can click on the title or the featured image and read the post. So the second one is blog. So we'll click on that and what we get there is basically my profile page on steam it steam it calm at my username at And here you get a feed of all my blog posts that I've published one here and one here, one here, and three here that I have received or shared. So this is by someone else and I've received it. However, the top one is by me, but thankfully, somebody else has received this one as well. So if you scroll down there, you'll see all my posts and how much money they've made.
The next link along on this bottom navigation bar that you get on my page is the comments. And I find this quite an unhelpful link. Because these are just the comments that I've made on other people's posts or my own posts. So I don't really need to have a look at this. replies on the other hand, is quite useful because it shows other people who've replied to my comments on my posts, so if somebody made a nice comment, like the one here, I can reply to it just to thank them for making that nice comment. So this goes for rewards.
And if you click on rewards it, there's a drop down and you can have a look at your curation and author rewards. So let's have a look at the curation first. And if you scroll down, you'll see all the posts that I've received steam power four, as a result of having voted up these posts. So all I've done here is read a post enjoyed it and up voted it and then I will receive a small amount of money. These are always pretty small, although they could be bigger if I read steamed post that was very, very successful. Another thing to note about this is the payment five hours ago this will always be for a post that's more than seven days out, because you will only receive your curation, rewards and your creation rewards after seven days after the post is published.
So let's go. So over awards, and same again, these are my rewards in steam back dollars and steam power for the posts that I have written. And they are all older than seven days. So I only get the rewards seven days after the post has been published. An interesting thing to note here is that all of these rewards Olden three days ago, I received some steam back dollars and some steam power. Whereas the most recent 113 hours ago, it was only steam power, and no steam back dollars.
And you'll realize when you submit a story, you have the option to power up 100% steam power, or 5050 steam back dollars and steam power. If you don't know the difference between steam back dollars and steam power, don't worry, I'll be coming to that in the next video. However, it's important to say that they're both the same thing. They're both cool pawns of the cryptocurrency steam steam back dollars, as the name suggests, is worth roughly a US dollar. Actually, we can look at it now and see that it's worth 98 cents, and that one steam dollar is worth 0.729 of a steam. So back on the author awards, you can see I'm getting less steam power for my Steam back dollars.
And that's because steam and steam power is exactly the same value as steam is more valuable than $1. It's about $1 30. So therefore the 5050 payment gives me a little bit more units of steam back dollars than it does steam power. So let's go on to the other side here of this lower navigation bar. And we'll go on to settings and I showed you these before, these are just the profile settings that you can change and edit to show here. Your name and your image etc.
And further down, you can decide whether you want to see not safe for work content. I'm going to do the wallet on another video. It's so important, but I'll just finish up going through the interface up here. So you can log outs, you can change your password, remember to be very careful with it. And finally, on this menu here, you have a few guides on steam it you might not be interested in these too much, but the FAQ is definitely worth a read. Okay, so in the next video, we're going to go through the wallet.
My name is Rob. I'll see you there.
