Welcome to vegan Keto:

When I started thinking about vegan keto, as many of the things I’ve had to find solutions for, it was actually my own problems. I was trying to fix it. I’ve run nosh for 10 years, and I’ve digested so much information in order to help our clients live healthier, happier, and fitter lives through the love of fresh foods and juices, online coaching, and much more.

But regardless of how much I know about health and fitness, my healthy diet, etc. I found that I would still be hungry all the time. An hour after breakfast and I’d be absolutely starving and I’ve just eaten an enormous meal.

Now, I don’t know about you but when I’m hungry I am not nice, I’m not using at work and I’ve just eaten an enormous meal – It used to drive me insane that I would get hungry again so quickly. I don’t know if you remember but before becoming the Founder and CEO of Nosh Detox I worked as a corporate lawyer – meaning the one thing I’m super comfortable with doing is research, so, I spent hours and hours researching because it sparked my interest.

Why is it that when I eat, I get hungry?

At the end of eons of time, it felt like, I understood that there was one thing my body needed and personal trainers, nutritionists, etc. all said it was protein (which is quite understandable being a vegetarian) So, I added this to my diet and it still didn’t work. It did absolutely nothing, I just felt heavier.

But after even more research, trials, and tests it all lead to one inescapable fact: The lack of fat makes you fat. The one thing I did not have in my diet, the one thing I was not eating enough of and needed more of was good fats.

Why is this?

This is because there is a process that goes on inside the body called ketosis and so when you’re eating low fat, your body can’t use fat for its fuel.

But it needs fat for fuel – That’s how it is supposed to work. It is supposed to use the fat you eat, convert it into fuel and use it to energize you so you can go about your daily life. So, when you dramatically increase the amount of fat in your body, you think you’re going to turn into a fat person, but what happens is you stop being hungry and you start using fat as fuel. Burning fat for fuel is known as ketosis. But, and this is the goal, you need to trip a metabolic switch to get your body to switch to using fat for fuel. Because at the moment, it’s not doing that because you’re not consuming enough fat to actually get your body to that stage of ketosis.

Tripping this metabolic switch has so many benefits in all parts of your health. Your skin changes, you suddenly lose weight, you’ll become slimmer and sleeker, sleep better without eating so much.

I now feel hunger after around 4-5 hours whereas before I was hungry after an hour and a half.
