These skills for measuring self are for teenagers, adults and seniors. Now some of our younger students use these as young as four. But as I'm on video and I can't either coach I suggest teenagers and up and ask questions of people you trust and love. The first one is mind traps. I can really get my to use an old phrase knickers in a knot get all wound up over things. Because I fall into a mind trap.
They don't like me because they're always mean to me because, well, sounds like a mind trap. There might be truth there. But jumping to conclusions can bite us, Minecraft places in a small self limiting space in place. So, watch out for your beliefs. It's very, very powerful on how they can open us up and free us. So our energies easier to have and move with and get things done.
And connect and engage, or our mind traps can really close us down. I get to talk to many people in this career. And I remember talking to somebody saying, Well, I'm really blessed to live in Toronto, I live in a building where on my floor of seven units, there are seven families and there's six different faiths represented. And they're like, Wow, that's pretty amazing. It is in a world of so much ridiculous mind traps where it's only my way or the highway. So mind traps.
Number one. It's an intellectual emotional skill, but it affects us physically. If we don't pay attention to our mind traps. A small mind trap I have to share. I had a relative who I love dearly who was open and caring and engaging with many, but they had a big mind trap about hair. Hair had to be cut a certain way if you're a man, and kind of certain way if you're a woman, otherwise, you look like a bum.
Maybe, but given their love and respect for people and all other things, situations. It was interesting that to me they had a mind trap about hair. Men should have short hair. Women should have longer hair and it should always be neat and well groomed well not everybody has the money. So I love them anyways, but it's fascinating how that one piece in their life really bothered them and don't wear a hat indoors. That was the other mind trap.
