Let's start with the idiom count on. Okay? All right, here we go. So we can use the idiom count on. When you're able to depend on someone or something. We're talking about a good level of trust you trust someone or something.

Maybe it's if it's something it could be like, I can count on the seven o'clock train to always arrive on time, right? Or it can be someone a person. I can trust in them. They will always be there for me. All right, Devin Keskin says hello. Hello, welcome.

And you can also use count on when you expect or think something will happen. We can count on our neighbors being extra loud on Friday night because they always have a party every week. All right. So that's countdown. That's the idiom count on. It's very, very common to use countdown.

Okay, so let's see. An example here we go. We thought we could have we could count on Henry to bring the beverages, but he led us down. Hmm. We can't count on him for anything. Once again, we thought we could count on Henry to bring the beverages, but he led us down.

We can't count on him for anything. Well, let's take a look. Count on here we thought we could trust. Right. We thought we could depend on Henry to bring the beverages but he led us down. We can't count on him for anything.

I see. Devin Keskin says like base on Hmm. Well, I base my trust on your history of always doing things on time. So it's similar. Yeah, it's not exactly the same. But it's similar.

So it's along the right path. Alright, so we can't count on him for Anything, we can depend on him. We can't trust on him trust him. Okay. So let's take a look at the word beverages. I'm quite sure you know what it means.

But let's take a look anyway. So beverages can be Wow, quite a lot of things. When I hear the word beverages, it can be pretty much anything that you drink. So it could be drinks. It could be cocktails. cocktails are just an alcoholic drink.

Maybe they're mixed with some sort of fruit juice or fruit, something like that, right? Some other beverages. You could also call them refreshments. We went to the party and the first thing they did was serve refreshments, right? Something to kind of get it in your mouth. You can carry it around while you talk.

And if you're thirsty, you can drink something. Alright, so then there's some examples of beverages or refreshment refreshments could be soda, maybe pop juice, coffee, tea. Milk, right kind of anything that's liquid and that you can drink is a beverage. Good. Wonderful. All right.

The other thing we're going to talk about in this example is he led us down. Uh huh. Whoo in the comment. Maria Antoinette says I can count on Miko per my English. Whoo. That's a nice compliment.

Thank you very much. I like it. Leah Huda says hi. Say hello. Alright, so let's take a look. What does it mean he led us down.

And I think mom would already said he's not reliable anymore. Right. Let's take a look. What does it mean? He led us down. Hmm.

So here are some other ways to say he led us down. And if you look at the pictures, everyone is like, ah, right then they don't look too happy. There we go. He led us down. He disappointed us. All right, and I think there are two T's in there yet or two peas.

Yep. He disappointed us. He displeased us. So he did something that we don't like right in the example. He didn't bring the beverages. I don't think we like that.

All right, so he displeased us. Yep, Mama says disappointed us. That's right on the hunted says Hi everyone. Hello Hello and welcome to another way to say he led us down you could say he dashed our hopes. Right. dashed is similar to like he destroyed he crushed.

He annihilated our hopes, right. So we had hopes that something would happen. And he crushed our hopes, right? And here's another one. He dampened our spirits. Now this one's not exactly super similar, but it's the right idea because if Someone lets you down.

You're probably disappointed. Right? So you had hoped something was gonna happen. But if they dampen your spirits, it's like, I have good energy I have good what they're not coming. What they're not bringing the beverages they said they are. I'm so disappointed.

So suddenly your spirits go down. So if something is dampened, it's like it loses its intensity, it goes down and you're like, Ah, I'm so disappointed. I see Devin Keskin. He makes us sad. He let us down. Yes.

Maybe he does make us sad. It's frustrating. Okay, once again, idiom countdown, you're able to depend on someone or something you can trust in them, or you expect or think something will happen. Like I can count on the train arriving tomorrow morning right at 7am because it's done the same thing for the last five years. Okay, and here's the example once again. We thought we could count on Henry to bring the beverages but he led us down.

We thought we could depend on Henry. We thought we could trust in Henry, but he disappointed us. He led us down. We can't count on him for anything. Okay?
