Next shortcut is a simple and easy one called log water. It's logging how much water you drink. As someone with a health background, you can really see a lot of difference in your health and how you feel and how you look by drinking more water. And you're supposed to have half your body weight in ounces of water every day. So let's say if you weighed 150 pounds, you should have 75 ounces of water a day, it's really good to keep track of your water. So here's a really simple way to do that.
And by the way, studies show that water helps your skin glow. It helps nutrients transport nutrients in your body, it helps with constipation, it helps with so many things, so you can track it and see for yourself if you feel better drinking more water, click on your shortcut. And then scroll down in the gallery to where it says log water and click on log water right there. And then you're just gonna say get shortcut. Basically the This is going to clog your water. So get shortcut.
And then it does it click and it puts it into your gallery. So click on the corner and click on log water. And now it's in your gallery. You know, sometimes I click on it and it takes a couple clicks. So here it shows how many ounces it lists the ounces of water that you drink. And then it says, choose multiple, which we don't need to put on.
And then it says, type water. And then that's basically it. Now we're going to take this other button, which sometimes you can't, it takes a couple buttons times to get it to go. And the name is log water and icon. And then we're going to add to Siri, log water. So she does log water.
Now I have kind of a Chicago accent. So sometimes Siri doesn't understand me and she'll say what's blog, blog water, black water, whatever. So I'll give the least amount of words as possible. So example I'll just say Water. So to log my water, I'll just say, hey Siri water, and she'll know to log my water for me. So next this pretty easy.
Basically, if you want to show in the widget, then you go to your screen. And when you swipe over, it shows up in this shortcut, that means show in widget. So if we go back, and we say, Don't show in widget, and we go back to our home screen, we swipe, and there it doesn't show in the widget. So that's what that means. If you want to use it's one of the things you use a lot, then you'd probably want to show it and if you don't, then you don't want to. And then I don't know if you're gonna really want to share it.
So I don't think so. We're done. We'll click Done. And then let's see how Siri logs our water. The first way is if you're on the main screen, you just click on the app, click on log water. And you can say how many ounces you add.
You could say eight, click eight and then you're done. And it logs it or it's really easy. to just say, hey Siri water running your shortcut. And then Siri opens a shortcut, you click how many ounces you had, and it's done and it logs it. Let's open it in health and see what happened. Hey Siri, open health and then opens in health by the way, I don't carry my phone with me.
So that's why these steps aren't accurate at all. Anyway, so it says 433 milliliters and so we want to go and change that to ounces if you're in the USA. So what you do is you tap on it, scroll down, click on unit, and then select ounces. And there everything ounces us and then back, and you're done. And you'll see now it says 16 ounces. So your home play is to set up log water and then come on back
