Introduction To CPV/PPV

Okay, welcome to CPV marketing. In this video I'm just gonna go through a really quick introduction to CPV marketing or PPV marketing. Can I tell you what it's all about? And then we'll get into the brass tacks. So what is CPV? CPV stands for cost per view.

Okay, this is also known as PPV or pay per view just depending on how you want to look at it. Okay, we will measure how much we're paying by cost per view. But the actual term for the for the industry is really PPV. So the advertiser pays a network, for every view are also known as an impression. Okay, so every unique view is called an impression and that's basically what you'll be paying on is how many eyes are in front of your advertisement. The good thing about PPV or CPV advertising is that you don't need to make ads.

Okay, you don't have to worry about Creating an ad and, and all of that, because it's going to be based around showing pop ups. Okay. So the way it works is someone's going to download a game or toolbar, some other small piece of software. And then as they do that adware is installed simultaneously now I know the adware kind of has a bad name. There's lots of, you know adware, spyware blockers out there, but it's not necessarily a negative thing. Okay, whenever anybody downloads these games or toolbars, the adware will be installed simultaneously but it can be with their consent, okay, they have to check that box or uncheck the box if they don't want it.

And basically all it is, is it's gonna allow you to show pop ups when visiting certain sites. Okay, so when they're visiting sites, they're going to see pop ups for your ad. And these ads are actually going to be generated by affiliates within the CPV network. We're going to talk about how this works. So a couple benefits to CPV versus other marketing platforms is you can advertise on large sites like Groupon for just pennies. Okay, it's super cheap to do CPV, and it's actually pretty easy to scale up to.

So it's going to be cheaper than other advertising sites like Google AdWords, Facebook, other places like that. And traffic and cost, you know, four cents per click or less, which is ridiculously cheap. It's a great place to start. Once you have a good situation and CPV and you're bringing some cash, you can roll over to some of the bigger networks like Google on Facebook, and some of the advertising aggregators, but this is just a great place to get started in media buying. Okay, so in the next video, I'm going to show you the basic steps of CPV and then we're going to get into a couple other things as well, and we'll talk about that in the next videos.
