Hello in this video this is actually gonna be very simple. I'm just going to show you how to configure your system so you can upload files so you have to do a specific configuration to allow this permission so to allow file uploads, so go to, you know your folder where XML is installed. And or Lambeth Lambeth, just the name for this but it is exam and once you go there want to go to etc. You want to go to PHP i&i and literally open up that using a text editor. any text editor will be fine. I'm just going to use text edit.
And in here you want to search for file, underscore, upload. And for underscore uploads equals on it's all good. That's literally what you need to do. NATO file underscore uploads is equal to on and that's it. If the semicolon at the start of it, get rid of the semicolon like that, because that is a, you know, a line, it's a comment. And we do not want that line to be commented out.
But as long as it is looking like that, you're all good to go and you can start, you know, uploading false. We'll get onto that over the next few videos, we'll cover you know, creating the upload script, the HTML side, checking if you know the file exists, you know, file size, file type, all the cool stuff. If you are using less as an online server, you will have a PHP i&i for file somewhere, you may need to have a look at the documentation that comes with your server provider. You know, to find where it is, or you can jump on their chat, you know, their you know, sort of, you know, customer support to figure out where it is. And if that doesn't help, you know, help, feel free to drop me a message and You know, let me know which service provider you're with Hostgator name cheap or anything like that.
And I'll you know, try and find it myself. But apart from that we're all good to go to actually start uploading files. That's it. Any questions, feel free to shoot me a message and as usual, I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
