So this is the part where you learn a little bit more about me. My name is Alexandria Cooper, and I'm a marriage and family therapist. While that may not initially sound like something that qualifies me to talk about collaboration, therapy is nothing if not just a whole bunch of collaboration, especially couples therapy. Beyond that, though, I did spend four years as a manager at a social services company or organization. And they managed anywhere from about eight to 16 people at a time. We did grant funded work, and during the time that I was manager, we became nationwide leaders in our work that we did with adults with severe and persistent mental illness and keeping them in the community in a productive way.
I have had the chance to work remotely with those people. Our organization was statewide and I managed people across A large geographic area area, so I didn't always have the chance to work with them face to face. So I have a lot of experience in collaborating with my team remotely, and doing things like joint team meetings and processes, process improvement, things like that. And I've also had experience and doing larger projects like working with our funding partners, to again, streamline processes, things like that, as well as collaborating on larger accreditation projects. So I know that I have a lot to share with you about collaboration, and I hope you get a lot out of this.
