When you are thinking and trying to prove an argument, there's two types of reasoning, inductive and deductive. And they are kind of like the fundamental things that you need to understand to understand what the structure of an argument is. So let me quickly explain it. The deductive reasoning is when you start with a conclusion, like the sky is blue. And then you go through evidence that proves or disproves your initial statement. The challenge with that is that you're a little biased because you want to sometimes prove the statement.
Ideally, you would be objective, and you would look be equally for proofs and disprove the statement. I you know, if you're a philosophical purist, but as a human being, often we're a little biased towards making you know, towards proving that our initial statement is correct. So that that that can be that the The pitfall there the fallacy, but essentially this is deductive is when you start with deductive is when you start with a conclusion, and you look for arguments that support or negate it. Okay? The flip side of that is inductive, you start with a question, or like what color is what color is the sky? That would be the question that you started with.
And then you go through evidence of what color the sky might be, and then you would end up getting to the color from the you know, from collecting the evidence and the arguments for the color and then you decide on it. So basically, you end up with the same put, you end up at the same point and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, by the end of these, but as as the structure of an argument, you see that they are fundamentally different. One is you presume something and then you work back and the one is you start at almost nothing just a question and you and you work towards making something out of that and building logic on top of evidence and make an argument for or against something being true. So next time you see somebody arguing something, try to understand Hey, I did use inductive reasoning or inductive and it will help you more to more clearly see some pharmacies and it will help you more clearly see where they're going right with their, with their argument and some of it and whether their logic is sound.
