Here's another fun and cute three tivity exercise that helps you think outside the box that you can do, by yourself or with a with a friend, that's even more fun. And the exercise is pick a random item. Look around the room wherever you are, take any item. So it's an unlimited kind of a game. You can choose as many items as you want. And for my item, I picked up the most basic, one of the most basic items there is, which is the plastic bottle cap opener, you know that when you buy a bottle of plastic bottle in a store, it has a little white cap on top.
That's what I picked that little cap. And then you have to think of alternative uses for that item. So obviously, the current main use the straightforward uses the bottle cap opener, or the closer whatever of cap, but you have to think of new ways. And so what I did is I came up with a whole bunch of ways that I thought I know that I thought up and my challenge for you is to think have new ways and post them in the comments. Okay, if you have something new that, like, I didn't think of post them in the comments, and it will be really interesting because then we can compare our results. And there's more.
There's an infinite view of ways to use this creatively. So, I'm sure I didn't think up of many, many, many things. So and you can always do this with somebody you know, and always play that exercise and see how how increasingly creative you guys can get. So here are the things that I came up with. You can use it as a cookie cutter shape, you know, you can make cookies out of it, it would be very boring, but you can do it. You can obviously use it in a throwing game with friends or flicking game where you throw it at them that can be kind of fun.
You can use it as a tiny tiny shot glass. If you for not for people who are not huge drinkers, you can paint a funny picture on top of it and use it as a decoration. You can use it as a tree Christmas tree ornament. You can use it to travel bug that you then want to not kill, but maybe release into the wild. So then you can just drop the bug keep it there until you figure out what to do with it. You can use it as a bad paperweight when it's windy because it doesn't weigh a whole lot.
You can wear it as your crown, even though it'll be about crown still, maybe a kid's crown, where you can make some somebody did this exercise when I was making the video when I was prepping for the video, and someone here suggested that I planted in my pants to use it to make the bolts look bigger. So that was some something funny people suggested. You can use it to play baseball or soccer with it. When you don't have a ball or instead of a ball. You can use it as a new currency. You can start trading bottle caps.
You can start a bottle cap reuse trend, where you just reuse the same old cap and on different bottles. So that can be a green sort of like environmental tramp friend when people start thinking Could be a whole business where people can start. Obviously, I don't see how this business will work. But potentially, this will be a business where people stop, stop buying the bottle and the cap and just buy the bottle and you will bring your own cap. And so you will make the planet more green, you can attach it to a parachute and use it as an extra weight to pull down, you know, to make the parachute more effective to kind of stop the air from, you know, so that would be a bad thing to do. Don't do it, but it's an idea.
You can use it as a sandcastle building tool to make shapes and to dig things out. You can you can give it to NASA, they can send it to the moon and planted and, you know, maybe we'll be there for the aliens so you can really really you know, my challenge for myself with this was to really think of outlandish things. I don't know if it's particularly outlandish, but you know, the moon at least it has a sprinkling start over really unique and different and outlandish, or you can dig it somewhere special like your backyard or a special place you go and come back to it makes make a point to come back to 10 years later and find that, and maybe we'll bring back some memories and fond feelings. So you can use it like that. So I don't have any more, but hopefully you do.
And if you have any more uses for the bottle cap, then post them in the comments of this video, it will be hilarious for us to look at it together. And I'll you know, I'll actually look forward to it because I want to see what I missed some some cool uses of it that I missed. And again, try doing this sort of thing as an exercise. You can do this exercise internally daily with every kind of different item. Or you can do it with a friend. And maybe even have it as a fun team building exercise with your co workers or the people you lead in your team so that you guys all get a little bit more creative and just start thinking a little bit outside the box.
