The benefits of yoga nidra Yoga nidra is an ancient but little known yoga practice it's becoming increasingly popular is both a form of meditation and a mind body therapy. It is a systematic form of guided relaxation that typically is done for 35 to 40 minutes at a time. Practitioners say that it often brings immediate physical benefits such as reduced stress and better sleep, and then it has the potential to heal psychological wounds. As a meditation practice, it can engender a profound sense of joy and well being. In Yoga nidra we restore our body senses and mind to their natural function and awaken a seven sense that allows us to feel no separation that only sees wholeness, tranquility and well being. Most people are trying to change themselves.

You could either ask them to welcome themselves. The moment of true welcoming is where the profound transformation takes place. Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a meditative practice that brings you into a deep state of relaxation, and then allows you to become increasingly aware of your body and inner world. You will likely experience yourself in a level of consciousness somewhere between wakefulness and sleeping. You may also drift in and out of the sleep, but the goal is to stay awake. your deepest level of consciousness will still be actively listening.

Some of what you hear may deeply resonate with you and some may not. Just take what you need and leave the rest behind. Begin by making yourself as comfortable as possible lying on your back. add any support you like under the backs of your legs or small back perhaps a rolled up blanket or pillow under the back of your neck, your head and make sure you were warmed by it. Adding socks layers or blankets, and I pillow is also quite lovely enjoy
