Okay, welcome back. In this video, I'm going to talk to you about another great way to make money with your blog once you're getting traffic to it. And that's with Google AdSense. So before we talked about going and finding affiliate offers, you know, finding their banner and putting our code, putting that banner code into our sidebar, okay, that way, we had an a banner, a banner up, people could click on and we get money every time there was a sale with Google AdSense, basically, what you're going to do is you're going to allow other advertisers to advertise relevant content on your site. So it's pretty simple to do, all you have to do is make some space available on your site. And then you put in a little code that Google gives you that allows the advertisements to show on your site.
So people are going to bid. You know, they're going to pay top dollar to get on your site. And then Google is going to handle the whole transactions. So Google is going to get paid, you're going to get paid. Hopefully, the advertiser is going to get some traffic and they're going to make some money as well. It's just a great way to monetize a site or a blog that you have that's already getting traffic.
So it's a really easy setup process. So you may have noticed before when you've ever been reading a blog that sometimes in the middle of the of the blog, they'll have kind of Google ads that you kind of see when you do a Google search. Okay, you see those in the top of the search, okay, so you can get these ads into your blog and start profiting from them. It's pretty simple. You just need to go and create a Google AdSense account@google.com, forward slash AdSense. Then here, you're going to click on my ads and just create a new ad unit.
Okay, so you're just named the add your name or your choose the size, okay? So whatever size you like, and then you'll decide what kind of ad type you want, etc. Okay, so we'll go through and decide all that. You can change the colors of the palette of the ad to make sure that it matches your blog, all that stuff. But once you've created your, your block there, you're just going to click through Save and get a code. Okay, so Google is going to give you an AdSense code.
Then you're going to copy that code and go to your WordPress blog. Okay, so inside WordPress, you're going to find the WordPress plug in insert AdSense, okay, so you're going to go to plugins, you're going to search for insert AdSense, you're going to download and install this plug in, and then you're going to activate it. Once it's active, you're going to settings Okay, so you're going to settings, click on Insert, AdSense, and just paste that AdSense code into the first box that you see. Okay, you paste the code in that you got from Google, and then update options. So then what you're going to do is you're essentially going to add this code whenever you're posting, okay, so you can click the add code button in the toolbar. Wherever you want the code to show up inside your post, I recommend you write a short first paragraph, then post the ad, okay.
The reason you want to do this is people are more likely to see it. They're more likely to respond to And it's going to be above the fold. So, you know, if this is your main source of monetization, then you want people to be seeing this, okay? It can be annoying sometimes when you're reading an article, and there's ads everywhere. But it can also be a great way to make money as a blogger. So what that's going to do when you click the little code in the toolbar, or the little button, it's going to give you kind of a mini code.
Okay, so that's gonna go right wherever you want it to in your article. So it's a really simple process. Just create the new ad spot in Google AdSense, copy the code they give you, you know, go into your insert AdSense plug in, just add that code, and then put it in whenever you're posting. There'll be a nice little toolbar, that you'll be able to insert this ad into WordPress. Nice and simple. You can start letting other people put ads that are relevant to your market inside your blog.
And it's a great way to monetize your blog. It's already getting traffic
