In this section of the course, we're going to be discussing a cool piece of software named ht parental controls. Let's go ahead and get started. I'm going to open Google Chrome. And I'm going to do a search for ht parental controls. We're going to go ahead and get started for free. Allow the application to download and proceed with the install.

Click Run. Next, we're going to accept and install. OK, let's go ahead and finish up won't allow the application to load. Okay, we're all set to go. Now stated before ht parental control is going to be a way that you can safely secure the PC while your children are searching online. Now in this particular example, we're going to do website blocking.

Basically, we're going to be blocking websites that we deem unsafe for children. So we're going to click website blocking. Now in the band category section, you'll see a few categories, social networks, drugs, gambling, shopping, so forth. Now what all we have to do is go down this list, and unselect basically the categories that we want to block. So in this scenario, we want to block violence chat sites. Shopping is okay maybe like Amazon.

We're going to block gambling drugs tobacco YouTubers, okay, Instagram social networks. Okay. So now we're going to go down, click Apply. And Okay. Now, let's go back to Google Chrome and do a search for maybe a category that we blocked. Let's do online poker.

Because gambling was a category that we decided to block. Now, as you can see, basically nothing is on the website. In some scenarios, you may see the web browser just close completely in different scenarios like those. But if we go back to HD parental controls, and we go in the application sections, under reports, and right below that to websites, we can go over to the history log. and here we can see What websites were attempted to be searched and what websites were blocked.
