In this section, you will be focusing on developing mind/body awareness.

In particular, you will begin recognizing more clearly the connection between what is happening in your conceptual mind what you think of as your conscious thoughts and what is happening within your body. You will start connecting the dots between your thoughts and your feelings in a way that helps you recognize subconscious programming and conditioned responses.

You can become the master of your mind/body responses, rather than being controlled by outside forces that might be dictating your behaviors by virtue of automatic response conditioning. This type of mastery is a continuing process, but the process gets easier as you go along and stick with your practices.

As a powerful and sovereign being, you have the privilege and the responsibility of exercising your own free will. Sometimes, however, our free will can become compromised by habitual feelings and repeated thought patterns. Some feeling habits and certain thought patterns serve us very well. It's good to know what experiences give rise to warm thoughts and feelings; and it's good to lean into those experiences that are most life-giving. It is also important to recognize when we have developed feeling habits and thought patterns that take away from our sense of peace, calm, and joy. We want to be able to choose, for example, between love and fear. We want to make more conscious choices. To do that, we must first understand what we are dealing with in regards to our subconscious patterns, which become entrained within the body.

By increasing your mind/body awareness and developing an understanding of what you have been repeatedly thinking and consistently feeling, you will be better prepared later to begin changing the conditioned mind/body responses that no longer serve you. You will become aware of more of your subconscious content so that you can start making the unconscious conscious.
