Hi, this is Dr day and welcome to module number six. This module is on stress. And we're going to take the approach of actually teaching you how your body reacts to stress and how that causes disease in the body. And then we will look at how to manage stress, which is actually the most important thing that you're going to learn. And we're going to take two approaches. One is I will give you some techniques that are simple that only take a few minutes to help your body calm and relax the stress response.
And the second part of that of how you will address stressful situations. For a lot of my patients who are on diet plans and are doing specific diets like you're doing to help balance your blood sugar's when you have to go to a special event or you have To travel or be out of town, that can be a very stressful situation. So we're going to take some practical approaches and tips to teach you how to continue the lifestyle habits that you've gained so far and do that when you're in a special occasion or a special event. It's a great way to round out the modules that we've already learned about this is how you change your life and then you balance your blood sugar's you prevent blood sugar problems and you reverse blood sugar problems through these lifestyle changes.
