Have you been learning American English for a while, but can't seem to get the pronunciation right? Speaking is the most difficult of the 4 modes of English. There are rules (and exceptions) to how American English is pronounced, and it starts with "long" and "short" vowels. You may not be familiar with these terms, but English is sometimes a tricky language to learn how to pronounce because English has 26 letters, 44 sounds, and 150 ways to spell them.
First, the overview lesson, with a video showing you exactly how to say the vowels and a downloadable phonics cheat sheet for your study. Next, the vowels each have their own lesson (A, E, I, O, and U) so you can learn the Long sounds (like the alphabet) and the short sounds (relative), with YouTube videos and examples. Also included are some worksheets links for you to use as you study each of the sounds. When you are able to confidently read and say each sound, you will be well on your way to sounding like a native.
Good luck and happy learning.
