Anyone find that they found it very hard to get into? Because it seemed phony or just because they weren't concentrated for any reason? I know when I first started doing it, it felt very artificial. I would say the more you do it easier, it actually becomes don't stress the right person. care about that person. Yeah.
And you just cover comes into your head. And sometimes it's surprising in a good way. The person who appears in your mind has such a great report. Thank you. Yeah, it's it's the idea behind the practices is to create a deep fault of more just kind of default friendliness. So you see there's, you start to see this more and more occasion to be compassionate for people around you, you start to notice more and more the way people are having challenges and, and it just builds up that quality of life of care.
And it's it's built slowly but it's it's really rewarding and rich because you feel very, very connected to people. It's like these are like, you know, the Dalai Lama those those guys are all about these practices. You know, the Tibetans are like masters. They do these cool complex visualizations, but they turn themselves into their babies and beam out all that good luck juice. So there's our version of it. Yeah.
Yeah, it's definitely good. Because then you can just be a little bit you're just a little bit less triggered by it. Yeah. Yeah. Anyone else find out to do with gritted teeth, grit through that. Anyone anything loving kindness?
What is a loving kindness is like I hate on kindness practices. That practice sucked. Yeah. Well, there's a beautiful Have you guys heard of the gratitude practice basic gratitude practice where you basically think about someone who you feel grateful for in your life. And he just sort of think about all the ways in which That's true. You write it down and you go pay the visit, you're like, hey, guess what, I'm gonna just do a surprise, loving gratitude vibe on you.
And people say it's one of those things that you know, people end up I mean, I do it a lot and see it's very emotional. And you end up it really makes a deep effect on your mood for the better in a very lasting way. And this is one of the psychology positive psychology findings. So I mean, this is it is very healing love is very healing and giving is getting and those are all US Hallmark stuff is pretty much true. It's why it's and people think things that are so obvious shouldn't be true. I think truth has got to be complicated or something but truth.
Truth when it's like actually applicable and real and fundamental for everybody. So that's why these things are you know makes sense.
