About Leona, your course director

Struggling personally with anxiety, fear, panic, postnatal depression, loss of mind, body, and emotional confidence from my early childhood and into my early adult years, I started to practice mindfulness and meditation, some time back, as a coping technique and as a last resort to help me to regain balance and control in my life.

Little did I know, that this Mindfulness practice and this unbelievable way of living would be the most powerful, most empowerful, and enjoyable treatment or tonic that would transform my life on every level that you can imagine.

Mindfulness and meditation have equipped me with daily tools, techniques, and coping strategies to be able to live very comfortably and very happily alongside my anxiety and fears. This is why I decided to design this fantastic, practical, real, raw, empowering online training course for you.

How is this training course different from other mindfulness courses?

In this training course, I bare my heart and soul and honestly share and teach you how mindfulness has truly transformed my life beyond recognition. This course is different in that I openly speak about how my life was with daily pain, suffering, and trauma before I adopted a mindful approach to my everyday living. I speak of how out of control I felt in my mind, body, and emotions. In this course, I teach you from 'lived experience' how I actually implemented all the changes in my life to make room for my new mindful life.

I spent many years practicing this new way of life daily before I decided to complete my own teacher training so that I could help thousands of people that are also experiencing anxiety, fear, panic, depression, etc. I always describe myself as doing exactly what it says on the label.

You will feel a personal connection with me as you move throughout this training course. I have designed and delivered this program in a way that it will feel like we are sitting chatting over a cup of tea or coffee while developing a lovely connection and while you also learn how to transform your life.

This course is also different from other Mindfulness courses as I empower you with the simplest things we have in life.....nature being one of these. It is always there, it doesn't cost us anything and it has some of the most healing, restoring, balancing, renewing, and energizing natural elements that you can possibly find. The best thing is that it is all around us, so all you have to do is to step outside.

I have a deep, deep connection with nature and spend many hours outside in nature, just walking, sitting, watching birds, meditating, grounding, noticing the simple beauty of everything that's around us. I teach people from my heart and soul, which is empowered and fueled by nature and it's natural to wonder and beauty, I don't teach from a book. I love enlightening people to the strength and power that they already have within themselves and I love teaching people how to connect with these via nature and other natural elements.

What will you learn in this course?

As the pace of life and the constant 'Switched on' feeling in our lives keeps growing more intensely, more and more of us are struggling to keep up with our general living, our work/family/life balance and commitments and we just can't seem to find the time or realize the importance of 'self-care, mindfulness, meditation, kindness, and compassion.

I have designed this introduction to mindfulness, meditation course to teach you how to:

  • Become more mindful in your daily life
  • Become more present and accepting in your present moment
  • Cultivate greater awareness of both your mind, emotions, and thoughts
  • Practice mindfulness and meditation daily to help re-wire your brain for optimum living, health, and happiness
  • Practice mindfulness and meditation for daily management of stress, anxiety, and depression
  • Become more kind, caring, and compassionate towards yourself and others
  • Identify, connect to and express gratitude daily for everything that you have in your life
  • Experience the incredible benefits of practicing mindfulness and meditation daily

The course comprises 6 modules, which are as follows:

  • Module 1: An Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
  • Module 2: The Monkey Mind
  • Module 3: Mindfulness and the Brain
  • Module 4: Mindfulness for Stress, Anxiety, and Depression
  • Module 5: Compassion, Self Compassion and Kindness
  • Module 6: Gratitude

Each module consists of video teachings and audio meditations by myself. I have also included some external teaching sources as supportive material in the forms of reading and video content. This helps to gain a greater understanding of my teachings from different supporting sources.

How long will it take to complete the course?

There are no rules when it comes to completing the course. It can be completed over a six-week period, which gives time to implement each module's tools, techniques, and practices or it can be completed over a 6 month period.

It really depends on each individual and their desired pace for moving through the course. I would recommend taking time between each module to implement any suggested practices etc.
