Not all bonuses are created equal skyrocket your conversions. Adding a bonus or bonuses to your main offer is a great way to increase your conversions. Generally people like bonuses, but to harness the full power of bonuses as a conversion tool, you will have to adhere to one very important rule. And this won't be a surprise or a secret to you because we've already talked about that. Here is the rule. Your bonuses must be aligned with your main offer.
Your bonuses must be aligned with your main offer. As simple as it sounds. There are people selling online who disobey this rule and as a result, their conversions suffer. Now here is what I'm talking about. And here is what you must not do. Have you heard of PLR products?
If you haven't, basically these products with private label rights, meaning you can buy such a PLR product branded until others that you created the product. Usually these products are not of a very high quality. And there are subscription websites that you can access thousands of PLR products for a very small fee, let's say $10 per month. PLR has come in all shapes and sizes such as articles, video courses, ebooks, pieces of software, and so on. sees these products are that cheap, some people selling online, buy them and offer them as bonuses to their main offer. They often go overboard and offer seven or 10 or even 13 bonuses.
That's crazy. I know. The problem is, most of the time, these bonuses are irrelevant. They're not aligned with the main offer, and they don't do any good. So my advice is this Don't give low quality products as bonuses and always, always align your bonuses with your main offer, meaning your bonuses must be relevant to the main offer. For example, if your main offer is a weight loss program, there is no us offering a bonus that will help people how to get out of debt.
See that's in congruent. Here's how I apply the knowledge from this lecture. I went ahead and added four bonuses to my main offer. Yes, I'm talking about the step by step your first 1000 students problem. When you sign up today, you will get four bonuses we do real world value of $688. These are three courses on copywriting and one course on marketing fundamentals.
These bonuses are aligned because my big promise is that I will teach people how to sell their courses and make a profit. In order to do that my students need to have a solid understanding of marketing and copywriting Now, I want you to think about something for a second. After all, we talk psychology here, your prospects have a question in mind that you need to address. If you don't address this question, you will hardly make any sales. I've already shared this question with you in the pricing section. But this is so important that I will touch on it again.
Your prospect is asking, How can I make sure that what I'm paying for is worth a lot more than my investment. And even if they don't say it explicitly, this has been and continues to be the case. If they buy an item that's not worth the money they spent, guess what their friends would laugh at them for being easily tricked. For example, I'm sure you can come up with the best explanation in English, but you got the point. In these reactions are formed from an early age. We want our closest friends and family members to see As savvy buyers.
Another point is the good old brain. Remember the most important characteristic of the old brain selfishness. And the reason why I'm bringing this point to you is because I would ask you to put a price tag on your bonuses. So your prospect sees what they're getting for free. And this will address the question I mentioned. As you can see from my example, you will get four bonuses with the real world value of $688.
That already sounds tempting, doesn't it? However, I would like to be honest with myself here. I could have done a better job, because the price tag of my main offer is 497. And the bonuses are only $688. It would be much more powerful. If I could come up with $2,000 worth of bonuses.
Of course, I'm not talking about law firms. You overpriced to PLR products here. I like Eben Pagan, a great marketer, and I am on his email list. He did a launch of a program called the virtual co where he teaches you how to build an online business. The price tag of the program was quite steep, quite expensive. I'm talking about $5,000 it is not the easiest thing in the world to sell a $5,000 program.
I read carefully his sales page from a marketing perspective. And can you guess how much his bonuses were worth? Please guess. What do you think? You have $5,000 problem. What do you think bonuses worth the $5,000 or maybe $25,000 or even $50,000?
That's crazy, but we're not even close. He offered $100,000 worth of bonuses. And if you're thinking what kind of bonuses these would be, I remember one of them was to join his mastermind group that costs around $25,000 a year. The other bonus was a free ticket to his life event. It is a business event, great value here as well. So this is my point, do use bonuses made sure they're aligned in relevant high quality with the price tag so people can see what they're getting for free.
That's a great confirmation that they're receiving more than what they're giving. Right. Nice. Before I close the lecture, I would like to give you some ideas of bonuses that you can add. You can pick whatever fits your business best. Number one, checklists, number two short into the point video course.
Number three audio course. Number four cheat sheets. Number five private mastermind groups it could be Facebook number 630 to 60 minute Skype call personally with you. And even if you sell physical products, you can always include a PDF file with, let's say top 10 mistakes people make when they're cleaning their carpets or choosing a carpet cleaner. Alright, let's recap. Adding a bonus or bonuses to your main offer is a great way to increase your conversions.
Your bonuses must be aligned with your main offer. your prospects are always asking how can I make sure that what I'm paying for is worth a lot more than my investment. Put the price tag of your bonus. This will help address this question. And number five, don't use cheap PLR products if you want to build a business that will last Thank you for watching and stay purposeful
