Lesson 18 see journey to a sacred garden. In the earlier lesson on guided meditation, I suggested you listen to pre recorded meditations. In this lesson I'm going to guide you to a place that you can go to at anytime you want to get away to a sacred garden. Start by getting comfortable, either sitting or lying down with your hands and feet uncrossed and your spine straight. Let your breathing be slow and deep. Inhaling gently through your nose and exhaling fully Take three slow, deep breaths.
Continue your deep breathing and getting more relaxed as we prepare to start our journey. Imagine yourself walking through a meadow on a peaceful summer day. The sky is a pristine blue with puffs of white clouds floating by. You can feel the warmth of the sun and your skin but a gentle breeze is blowing. Keeping you perfectly comfortable. You feel totally at peace.
Birds are flying above dancing and singing their songs. tall grasses of the meadow sway In the breeze. The wild flowers are in bloom all around you. Up ahead, you see a gate and as you approach you see that it leads into a beautiful garden. You open the gate walkthrough and close it behind you. As you walk into the garden, you see an array of beautiful flowers in all the colors of the rainbow and there are shrubs and well maintained paths and the garden gives you a sense of peace and tranquility.
You hear the sounds of a gently running stream and birds singing Perhaps there are other sounds familiar to you from your favorite peaceful places. off to the side you see a small alcove with a comfortable bench. You sit down and feel emerged in deep peace. You feel safe and protected here. Notice how it looks, feels and sounds to be in this sacred space. This is a place you can come to at anytime you feel the need to get away and rest.
Sit here for as long as you like. When you feel ready, you can follow the path back to the gate. Walk through the meadow and return to where you started. Know that you can return anytime to experience the peaceful feelings of this sacred garden
