Welcome back to 20 moves in 20 days. Today we are going to expand our Rhonda Shaam knowledge to have Rhonda Jones on layer on layer means in the air. And so we have learned our Rhonda jobs on the floor and now we're going to expand that a little bit and learn them in the air. Okay, it's kind of exactly what it sounds like actually. And it's, it's not too bad. So you know, the broken down regimes that we worked on where you're kind of stopping in every position, you can do the same thing and bring your foot up just a little bit to about your 4530 to 45 degrees off the floor.

So I brought it on layer is going to go front, side, back and closed. Or you can do a seamless one like we practice before as well. But it's the same concept. It's just off the floor. Now I will caution you with this. It is harder to maintain really good turnout when it's higher.

So You really want to think about rotating from the very getgo and continuing to rotate the whole time. Okay? Same thing when we go to the back, back, and side and front, and back, and side and front and close. Yes. Or again a little bit faster. But if you'll notice right here, I'm rotating my ankle immediately.

Right. And that way, I know my turnout is engaged. Okay. That is one way to do Ronna jobs on there. There are others. First of all, you can have your leg as high as you want, or as you can do, so very commonly, you'll be asked to do Ronda Shaam on layer at about a 90 degree angle.

So if you were to do this and don't feel bad if your leg isn't there yet, it totally doesn't matter. You work up to everything in ballet, you're not asked to do you know grandma's like kick your face. So You just work out to do all the things and so no stress. Don't Don't worry if you're not there yet, okay? But I'm going to show it to you anyway, so you can get a feel for it. So from here, from first, I can do the same concept, right, run it on layer, except I'm going to extend straight in front of me to the side to the back and close, or reversing that back, and side and front and close.

Yes, same concept. It's all the same idea. It's just a little bit higher. So if you're not quite at 90 degrees yet, but you feel like you could do a little bit higher than 30 or 45. Feel free to practice that. And the thing to keep in mind though, with Rajaraman layer is that you do have to keep your foot and your leg in the same distance off the floor the entire time.

So if I have a lot of flexibility to the front Say and I can have my like really high, but then to the side that drops significantly, you wouldn't want that in your rajamma layer. So what we really want to always avoid is the dip where it goes like this, right, you have to make sure that you can maintain the height of the leg the whole time. So when you're building up to 90 or higher or whatever, make sure that you have that consistent like height the whole time, regardless of which way you're going. Okay, there is one other way to do it on layer. And that is kind of a an interesting, unique thing. So from first position, what we're going to do is extend the leg to the side.

I'm going to bring it in and then rotate it slightly out. So if you can see my legs, just my toes disconnected from my leg a little bit out, and then really think back to the side so it goes straight into red sirree a little bit front and out. Like this. And then we have the same reversed when you reverse it. You start here you go a little bit. Connect and straight out a little bit in front Connect straight out.

Yeah. So Ron is on the layer, actually, it can be done in a few different ways, which is kind of fun to play with. All right, let's put it in a combination. We won't do our like super high today. You can decide how high you want it, and then continue to build from there. But what we're going to do is just for plain Rhonda Shama layer, your choice of height.

When we go all the way around, we're going to do that four times 1234. Then we're going to reverse it 1234. Then we're going to go out to the side of your Rhonda on layer where we're rotating out. So we're gonna do for coming straight in. We're cheating a little bit forward and extending And then for reverse, going a little bit in front of our leg, straight to our leg and release out. Okay, so four of each, essentially, here we go.

We have one, and two, and three, and for reversing back, and two, and three, and four, go to the side we have out, and one and two, and three, and four clothes reverse, out, in out 234 good. Make sure you do both sides. One other quick note about the rajamma layer when you extend to the side is we do want to make sure we're not snapping our leg. Ronnie john was a very adult You step, meaning it's slow and flowy and things like that. So we don't want to have a moment where it just kind of like, snaps your foot out. Alright, so I want to think about it being super controlled the whole time.

So it's very mushy. Right? It's, it has that sort of gushy quality to it, as opposed to going out. Right? We don't want to have a flicking motion associated with it. All right.
