Now let's take a few minutes and talk about the strategy for the manifesting generator. manifesting generators have a two step strategy. That's right there are two steps to the strategy of the manifesting generator. Remember, first and foremost, a manifesting generator is a generator. So first and foremost, the manifesting generator will be following this strategy for the generator, which means they are designed to wait to respond. The second step four, the manifesting generator is to inform others before taking action.
And trust me, the key word here is before taking action. So the second step is the same as the strategy for the manifester to inform others before taking action. Now as a manifesting generator, I can tell you from my own experience that both of these two steps are Equally important, first way to respond, and then be sure to inform others before you take any action. I would like to share with you my experience of following my type and strategy for Human Design. I happen to be a manifesting generator, and a manifesting generator has a two step strategy. The first step is to wait to respond.
I was very happy to learn about that step because I was tired. I was exhausted and I was frustrated from trying to be out there making things happen. So wait to respond was the first step I easily embrace that step. The second step though, is to inform others before taking action. This was a real challenge for me. I was not happy about this step and I was very resistant to this step.
I thought, Why do I have to inform anyone? I'm an independent woman. I make my own money. I pay my own bills, so why should I I have to inform anyone about what I'm about to do or what I'm up to. I had a lot of resistance to this step. And then another Human Design Specialist challenged me to just start living the second part of my strategy to inform others.
In fact, she not only challenged me, she double dog dared me, and there is no way I could refuse that. So I decided that I would start incorporating inform others before taking action, just to give it a go to see if it really did make a difference. And boy, did it make a difference. I'll give you an example. I'm a hermit types. So during the holidays, I like to just disconnect to just have my own downtime to be in my own space, just chill out, sit back and relax.
However, I wasn't always good at informing family members that this is what I was going to do for the holidays. So they would send me all kinds of invitations. To come for Thanksgiving or come for Christmas or come celebrate Hanukkah, and I never partook in the celebrations, they would always be worried that perhaps I was sad or depressed, they couldn't understand why I didn't want to participate in the celebrations. So this particular year after I accept the challenge, the double dog dare I decided to let all of my family members know. Thanks for the invitation. But I won't be joining you for the holidays.
I'm just going to take some much needed downtime, have my own little sabbatical so to speak, and get myself back to centered and balanced before I go back out there in the world and start my teaching again. Guess what? They were so happy to hear this. They said thank you so much for informing us. Now we don't have to be worried about you worried this something's wrong or maybe you're sad or maybe you're depressed. So let me tell you, the second step is just as important as the first and I have to say I am so glad that I did.
Took that challenge that double dog there. And now I live both steps of my two step strategy. I wait to respond which made my life a lot easier, and I now inform others before I take any action and that also made my life a whole lot easier.
