Hello, everyone, welcome back to our last lesson of this section of the course. So basically, once we finish this lesson, we're actually finished with making our audio sound cinematic or professional color, whatever you want. So basically right now we're going to get to the advanced part. And we're going to cover up a really, really cool effect, which I love using, and it's basically a compressor and an EQ combined into one. It's called a multiband compressor, you can find in the effects tab by searching multiband compressor. And I'm going to basically I'm going to explain to you what it is and how are you going to use it and why would you even use it.

So let's jump right into it. So a multiband compressor is a compressor that acts on specific designated frequencies. So for example, de Esser does exactly the same but a multiband compressor does it across the whole spectrum, which is quite amazing, I love using it. So if you're using a multiband compressor, you will have four bands. So right there, you will have, let's actually open it up for sorry, let's search for a multiband compressor and drop it onto our video. Don't use the absolute one, please, please, please don't use the absolute one, go to Edit right here and open it up.

As you can see, it seems kind of scary, but it's not that simple to use. So as I said, is a compressor and EQ in one place, but it's way more advanced and way better to use. So basically, as you can see, you have four of these sections, and they divided all of the frequencies and all of the audio sections, I would say into four places. So what this is, is the lows is the lowest once and it's the boot base one. It's where you hear the bass in your voice. This one is the low mids and this is mostly You will find your voice once you start speaking and the audio waves should appear right here.

So this is where you should find your voice. This is the higher mids. And these are the highs. So basically, these two are where the pitches and the noise and all the higher frequencies are basically happening. So, in case you were wondering, why are we doing this because we already used an EQ is because after using this, you can set up the bandwidth, you can set up the ratio, attack, release, and even even EQ it more to actually achieve a specific look. So right now I'm going to drop my lows right here even up to 200 because it can catch up even more.

And there's an important thing that I wanted to mention. This right here this preset broadcast is it's not a default presets because as you always know there's a default preset where everything is on zero and there are pieces. This broadcast right here, it says zero everywhere, and it's looking normal. But if you switch anywhere from it, for example, let's just press have a guitar, everything is switched up. And if we go back to broadcast, as you can see it's set up right here. So what this is, I don't know why, but for some reason, Premiere Pro didn't add a default one.

So basically, if you mess up and switch from these and go back to broadcast, just know that these will switch up. And if you're trying to go back again from scratch, you will have to delete the multiband compressor and add it back in. That's something really important to let you know, because you will mess up your audio and you won't know why if you switch from the broadcast, where I've heard other people do also is use a classical Master, but I really haven't had a chance to play around with this, although they said pretty similar, but I'm going to stick with a broadcast and as I switched, I'm going to delete this and add it back in. Go back to edit. And as we discussed, I'm going to get our loads back 200 and right now we're going to work with it. So this is one of those effects where we need to actually listen to the audio in order to know what we're going to adjust.

So as I said, the lower ones right here are the bass bass you can hear in the voice. So let's start right away. Let's play our audio and see what's up. Hey, what is up guys, Ennis, here from reverse cuts, and today, I gotta bring you tutorial for you. So this, what I forgot to mention is if you can't really tell the difference, once you apply the effect, what you can do is click this test right here as to solo the track and actually output the effect that we're trying to achieve. So basically, if I click this, we're going to hear a lot of baseballs right now and it's only going to play the vegetables.

As you can see, I have bass boost in my sound, which I'm going to lower quite a bit because I I really don't like that. What I've noticed is in podcasts, people actually leave bass boost in their cell nine. Now, I don't know that that's whatever, they don't know how to remove it or they actually like it. But a lot of podcasts do have bass boost. So in case there's something you like, go ahead, don't remove it. I just don't like it.

I'm going to remove it. And I'm going to keep playing it to actually adjust the gain and other stuff. I'm going to drop down the gain a bit. Try something like this. Yeah, that's much better. Especially set it up to minus 9.3.

Because I found out that that's something that's working for me. And I want to move on to some of the other things before we actually adjust these things. So right here, the ratio, we're not gonna mess with this, because we don't need it. It's actually fine the way it is right here. Because we don't have more of these. And for the attack, as I said earlier, when I used I think what I use, I think we use the parametric equalizer I'm sure I don't remember.

But it's basically how this affects the multiband compressor is going to attack this base once it appears. So basically if you lower this to one MS is going to attack it right away. And by gradually going out, you're going to release it with murder if we have this at 100. So basically, I'm just going to switch all of these up to one. Right now, what else I wanted to talk about is these things right here. I really don't mess it up again, some people put at 0.1 I have no idea why because that's not much of a difference.

But for the limiter. What I like to do is switch this up. Now this is really important for me and maybe for you also because as I said earlier, my mic is really close to my mouth because I have nowhere else to put it and it's right in front of me and But basically this does is it's going to set up a block to where the desk boss can go, there are mirrors. So basically, I will set this up to minus three. And another thing that I can do is check this brick wall limiter. Basically what this is going to do is going to create a wall.

So what a wall does, it's going to block you off from passing is going to block our audio from passing right here from minus three decibels, which I really love using because as I said, my audio is a little bit shaky. And when I record something long, I like to move around in my chair. As we get closer to the mic, I would go far away from the mic and stuff like that. So basically, so it doesn't hurt your ears or something. I'm going to break it at minus three decibels. Right now we're going to be using this by let's uncheck this because we still had our solo.

And right now we're going to be using the orange one, which as I said is mostly where our board is going to appear. So if you actually play it and drag it around, you're going to see a gradual there, what is up guys in here from reverse cuts and today I gotta bring you tutorial for you. So this is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time to write down. I don't think I'm going to set it up but I'm minus 12. Just so I don't have that loudness in there. And of course, you can always sell it out great footage for it to just to show you this amazing trick, which will give you like the smoothest scene switch, or let's call it you can tell the chord, drag it all the way down.

And it's making our audio sound like literally speaking into the gas bucket. That's not something that I like. So about minus 12 ish should be good for me. But of course test it out on your own to see what's best for you. And I'm good to increase the game just a little bit because I kind of lowered my voice and I'm trying to get that nice That nice center that I'm trying to achieve right here on these, you should be messing with these quite a lot because it's kind of harder to hit these, these are these so about money 1717 and I'm going to do the exact same that I did with the voice right here, but the actual voice if I unsolo this and go back to this one is actually going to show you this amazing trick, which will give you like the smoothest scene switch scenes.

This is where I would keep it but let's see if it's a little too low. Hey woody Guys Manish here from reverse cast and today I got a brand new tutorial for you. So this is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time to and right now I got great footage for it. And I'm going to show you this. I think this should be fine actually because this is the closest somewhat my basic question that I have that I've been using quite a lot for editing my audio. Right now of course we're going to check out the before and after sound.

Before What is up guys, and it's here from reverse cousin today, I gotta bring you tutorial for you. So this is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time. You can tell how my voice is deep and it's having that bass in the background once I uncheck it. And of course how it's I don't know how to explain it. It's hitting the peaks very hard. But if I check this Hey, what is up guys, Ennis here from reverse cast and today I got to bring you tutorial for you.

So This is something that I wanted to do for a while I just didn't have time to write down, I got great footage for it. And I'm going to show you this amazing. And if you remember what we did previously right here is once we use the hard limiter, we kind of limited the peak right here to minus six ish. So once we apply this effect and got the margin back to zero, and it went over six, so this one added minus three, because it's going to get it back on minus six. And most of my videos are going up to YouTube, so YouTube's going to equalize it perfectly. So that is something that I don't want to stress about.

That is something that this is the way that I set it up basically. And I really liked this output. Hey, what is up guys, Ennis here from reverse cast and today I gotta bring you tutorial for you. It's really, you're appealing, and I love this town right here. I think Yara got rid of that bass boost and that deep voice because this is the right fit for me And right now, as for last lesson of this section, I wanted to show you something something really important. And that is how to save up all of these effects right here.

So of course, we've been learning for quite a lot of these lessons right here. And that is not something that you want to do, you don't want to edit your audio for a full one hour. That's a really a waste of time. So of course, what you can do is save a preset that is going to contain all the effects that we use right here. We're going to do that by just holding CTRL and clicking all these and that's how you're going to select them. You don't need the loudness radar because that actually is not an effect.

But of course, just for the sake of this lesson, let's put it in multiband compressor and once you have all this selected like this, what you need to do is right click on one of them and go to save preset right here. You can name the preset, let's say let's name it. What Sound Design. And right here, limited scale because this is an audio, audio effect, and description, let's say for all your CoreOS audio, edit. Okay. And once you click that, if you open up presets right here, it should have it should appear right here as you remember sound design, if I hover over it with my mouse, it says use this for all of your tutorials as an audio.

So what we did right here is we saved this of these presets right here. And if you want to open up a folder for these type of effects, check this right click on your preset then and let's call it course, or audio, click enter and save up right here. Drag this in. And whenever you go to presets, and whenever you finish the edit and you're trying to edit your audio, let's actually delete all The test that we did previously just to show you it works. As you can see, our audio doesn't have any effects and it's gonna sound trash as when we just started. Hey, what is up guys, Ennis here from reverse testing today I got a brand new tutorial for you.

Right here we saved all of our effects. And we're going to go to course for audio right here, and we have the sound design thing. Just drag it onto your audio and as you can see, all of these will appear back again as we save that. So if you play your audio back again, it's gonna sound good. Hey, what is up guys, Anton here from reverse cast and today I gotta bring you tutorial for you. This is something that I really love doing is saving presets so I don't have to go over it again and just redo the world for no reason because you can save it and just slap it on once you need it again.

Thank you for having me here guys. I hope I will see you in our next one. And where we will be learning something when it comes to I guess movie production or doesn't matter actually can you use this for whatever you want, but I'm basically going to show you some of the effects that I learned quite a long time ago and they're not actually about making your sound better but achieving a specific effect when it comes to your audio. So I hope I will see you there. Thank you for having me here, guys. And I'm out
