Now it's time to export our animated story. But before we do that, I just want to show you what we have so far. So we have my story, which is this template, we have my story animated, which is animated template, and it looks exactly the same. And finally, we have a JPEG image, which is instantly shareable to Instagram. And if I double click to open it up, you can see how it looks like as a static image. Now, let's jump back into Photoshop.
And as you can see, we have our animation. And if we jump back to the start hit space, you can see it looks really smooth. And if you don't like how some of these elements look like and how they work, you can always make sure that for example, it took one second for from for our image to go from the top to its position, and you can extend that and make it two seconds, three seconds. It's really up to you. And you can play around with these timings. But I think think this works quite well.
Same thing for these arrows. So if you want to change the color of these arrows, so for example, double click right here, it's going to open them up because it's smart object. You cannot see them well right now, but if I zoom out, you can see them now, if you want to make them darker, you can simply select the bowl to them press A on your keyboard, hit right here where it says fill, click right here. And you can choose whichever color you want. Or you can enter your hex code right here. So let them be for example, this color Ctrl S to go back.
And now if I hit where they are, for example, at four seconds, if I hit space, you can clearly see them now because they are a lot darker. So if you want to have them at that, let's close this because we save it Do the same for the left arrow so open up the folder so like both of them using shift, sorry using control, press a clicker field, click right here, choose this color it okay Ctrl S to save it. And now you can see it them a lot better. So that's the beauty of smart objects, because you can always jump back and interact with those smart objects and make those changes later on. As I said, simply hit the Ctrl S, and it's going to save it to your desktop to your folder the children chose. And now you can enter it at later stage and change all of these elements.
So one final thing that's left for us to do is to save this and to do that we have to go back to the starting point. So right here because we don't want it to save it from this point, we want to save it from the first point. Now to save it out as a video, simply click on this little arrow right here. So when you click on it, it's going to show you this render Video Timeline and you can change all of this but I always recommend To leave everything as it is because it's already selected the best settings for this video, and simply hit render. Now it's going to render it to exactly the same folder that we already saved our Instagram story and our animated Instagram story too. So it remembers which folder you have selected.
When you click File, Save As, and it's going to export that video in that same folder. When it's finished, you can minimize this. And as you can see, we have my story automated. When I do right click open woods and choose this default from Windows program. And you can see how our video looks like. Now you have this video which you can share to Instagram and you can delight your followers with your new animated Instagram story.
Now there is one common issue with rendering Photoshop videos and that's when you click right here sometimes it does not apply Here, and you cannot see it. And for that you can use some other methods, you can use the software called Adobe Media Encoder. And if I minimize this and show you how it looks like, as you can see, it's really simple and it only works with Adobe files. So what you need to do right here is simply click on your story animated, drag it, drop it right here in this left window, let it load, sometimes it can be a bit smaller depending of your machine and simply hit this green play button is going to show you everything so you can see it frame by frame happening right here, and it's going to show you where it's going to export it. Now because we already have it right here.
It's either going to remove it and re export it as that name, or it's going to export it as my story animated one and if we do right click open route movies in TV. We can wait for it a bit. And you can see it looks exactly the same as the one we exported from Photoshop. So if you have that bug with Photoshop, you can always use this method to export your stories. So Adobe Media Encoder, it really doesn't matter which version you have. But whichever one it is, you can use it to export your stories from Photoshop.
So that's it. I hope you enjoyed creating your animated Instagram story. I hope you realize how simple this is. And don't be intimidated. You can always go back through these videos and jump back to the points where you feel confused. You can always repeat them and see how they look like but I think it's really simple creating these unlimited Instagram stories.
And once you get the hang of it, you can see it's really fun because it's going to provoke that creative person in you and it's going to push you on To be inspired, and to create a lot more intricate designs and a lot more complicated designs, you can always incorporate as many or as few images as you want. You can even do paragraphs. So, as I said in the previous videos depending of your niche, that's how you can explore what your competitors are doing. And here's how you can know how you can structure your design to be competitive inside of your niche. In the next video, I'm going to show you how this animated story looks like on Instagram. And to put it there.
As I said, if we jump back to our folder, you can see this is just a standard video file. And if I hover over it, it's just six megabytes in size. So you can send it straight to your phone. You can do it via email, via USB cable, airdrop, whatever you're using and you have with you, you can send it to your phone and then upload it straight to Instagram, no worries at all. So in the next video, I'm going to show show you how it looks like live on Instagram.
