Hi, today I'm going to show you a counter intuitive technique with which you can deal with a big list of tasks. Usually when you have so many tasks in a day, you zoom in, and you lose focus of the big picture. You start ignoring the tasks that help you reach your goals, or psalter important projects, finish your important projects. So how can we get rid of the many tasks that we have on our list and focus on the important ones that helps us reach our goals? Well, this is the word the counterintuitive parts comes. Take your list.
And for each task on the list, move it to the last first day of the month. Basically, from a list of 50 tasks that you have to do today, you can move maybe 20, or maybe 30 of them to the last first day of the month. If you can't move them on your last first day because you need to finish them this week, then move them to this week's first day. If you can't move them to any other day because you need to dumb then leave them on the list. What happens when you move your tasks to the last first day of the month? Basically, you cut your emotional tie with the task because when we send the task we get the feeling in our body that we must finish that task.
We must finish it today. By moving them far away, we cut that feeling. And when first day arrives, we will take a rational look at our list of 90 maybe 100 tasks, and we will cut most of them because we are not tied anymore to them. What happens is that this technique leaves us with a very small list. And then we can add to this list the tasks that help us the important ones, the ones that help us reach our goals. So by moving all of our tasks further away, you're not procrastinating, we are leaving our day free for our important targets.
I'm using this technique all the time. Try it. See how it works for your day. And when you arrive at the last in the last first day of the month. Well, yes, you'll have a very big list but all the tasks on that list will not be important so you can work on them in bulk
