The autumn sky is a beautiful one to behold. The next three months reveal a few galaxies that are possible to see with magnification. During this time of year in the northern hemisphere, the Earth has pointed away from the disk of the Milky Way Galaxy, allowing us to see more deep space objects. The jewel of the autumn sky is the Andromeda Galaxy, our closest spiral neighbor. This galaxy, if you can spot it, will be the oldest light you will view with your eyes. It takes light 2 million years to reach us from this galaxy.
