And how do you increase your level of credibility in the work environment?
Let's get started. credibility is based on four pillars, integrity, intent, capabilities, and results. Integrity means much more than being honest. It's walking the talk, being congruent, and having the courage to act in accordance to your values and beliefs. And you know your values because you've defined them. intent has to do with your motives, agendas and resulting behaviors.
Trust grows when your motives are straightforward and based on mutual benefits. capabilities. These are the abilities we have that inspire confidence, our talents, attitudes, skills, knowledge and style. They're the means we use to produce results and results. This refers to your track record your performance on getting the right things done. Remember, results for me are as much about the what than they are about the how.
If you don't accomplish what you're expected to do, it diminishes your credibility. On the other hand, when you achieve the results you promised, you establish a positive reputation of profession. A great manager of mine used to tell me Greg, there's one thing that no one can ever take from you, your track record. These are the four key pillars of credibility.
