Transcript

Okay, welcome back, I'm going to talk to you about another thing you can do for local businesses that can actually bring them a lot of revenue and a lot of traffic, which is article marketing. A lot of people think article marketing is dead. And it's really not I mean, Article Marketing is still the backbone of search engines is still the backbone of pretty much any kind of SEO. Article Marketing can be really good for paid traffic as well, because you're sending someone to a content rich site that pretty much does all of your selling for you. So don't you know, you know, don't be hesitant to go to a business and offer to do article marketing for them. Okay, Article Marketing, if you're a writer or if you have a good copywriter that you like to work with, on can go a long way and increasing traffic and revenue for businesses.

And odds are they're probably not doing much with our article marketing. So what exactly is article Mark? Well, Article Marketing is writing articles that can target certain keywords and phrases with the intention of getting in front of search results and driving traffic to another website. So where are these articles posted? Well, they can be posted on your website or your client site. A separate website, or article directories like iE zine.com.

How it works is you're going to determine your target keywords and phrases and write an article about 350 plus words. You want these words to be relevant to the target market. Okay, you want to use keywords. When your target market reads these articles, they need to be captivated and read more than just the first line before they leave. Ideally, they're reading the whole article all the way down to the bottom and then clicking whatever link or whatever button you want them to click on. Which is going to link back to your main website.

So the topics can be anything from how to To a top 10 list to reviews okay just submit finish articles to article directories and broke in bookmarking sites. They have all kind of Article directory submitters out there and article spinners and all kinds of stuff you can find. To help you do this if you don't have someone helping you a couple of tips for article SEO. Like I said 350 plus words is always key. And then you want to use keywords but don't keyword stuff, so don't put so many keywords and that that article is not legible and nobody can really read it and yeah, maybe it helps you rank a little bit but Google has been known to shut down and stop sending traffic to these articles that are just keyword stuffed and don't really have any relevance they're getting better and better at figuring out what are what are legitimate articles and what aren't.

And make sure to use proper grammar and sentence structure in your articles as well. You know, professionalism goes a long way. I know when I'm reading an article if there's a lot of misspellings and words are capitalized really shouldn't be. It's just it's not very enticing to me to continue to read and to take it very seriously. The content should also be easy to read. Okay, we want to keep this at about a fourth grade level, we want to keep our content very simple, okay, you want to communicate the message very clearly, don't use an overly stuffy vocabulary.

Try to articulate what you're saying in a very easy to read manner. And the content should be relevant to the keywords and the site being linked to Okay, so if you're, if you're targeting certain keywords, your article should not only include those keywords, but should be very relevant to the keywords and obviously relevant to where you want people to go. It's great if you can write a great article and they can click on the link. But if they get back to the site you want them to go to and they don't buy anything or they don't log in or often. Then you basically wasted your time. You got a lot of clicks, but you didn't really get the conversion you were looking for.
