Okay, welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about the first thing that you need to do for businesses, which is the proper keyword research to find out what kind of keywords they need to be trying to rank for, what kind of keywords they need to be putting in their blog, we need to be looking at what kind of keywords we want to use and target when buying advertising. So this is kind of the beginning of everything is doing your proper keyword research. So we'll do here is that Google's Adwords Keyword Tool at AdWords google.com slash keyword tool, you can come in and actually do research on keywords. Okay, these are words that people are typing in and searching for in Google or whatever search engine they're using. This is mainly designed for AdWords customers or customers that are buying advertising, but you can use it to give you get a really good idea of what people are searching for, as far as organic traffic goes as well.
So here the word or phrase you might want to type in, let's just say that we're going to type in Knoxville, plumber We come down here and we see all kinds of search terms for Knoxville plumber. Okay, so we've got all kinds of search terms that are related to this Knoxville plumbers, plumbers, Knoxville, Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee plumbers, all these keywords are words that you may want to try to rank for as well as Knoxville plumber. Okay, now if we come over to Google we can actually come in and type in this keyword and see what sites show up. So the first thing we want to do is once we've identified a few keywords that we'd like to target, we want to go into Google we want to type in this keyword and see who's showing up. Okay, we've got Kyle Hall plumbing, pipe wrench, plumbing bbb.org not Go accredited business so it's better business bureau, Knoxville plumbing and then we've got Google Places here.
So if your business that you're trying to work with isn't showing up here, then that's something that you need to show them. You need to go in and show them look for this keyword you're not ranking. Okay? And you want to find out who they are ranking for. So let's say we were actually trying to work with Knoxville plumbing inc.com Well, we'd come here we'd go back to our Google Keyword Tool. And we go you know, Knoxville plumbing inc.com and actually type in the website search.
Alright, so for Knoxville plumbing, heat calm. We can see keywords that this is showing up for Okay, so Knoxville plumbing and less hot water heaters, Knoxville plumber, okay, so we see we see we see this Knoxville bumper again, endless hot water heater, endless hot water, Knoxville plumbers, etc. So we want to go in here, take the business that we're trying to work with. We want to see what keywords they're ranking for. Okay, and then we want to look at the competition and see what keywords The competition is ranking for. Okay, and we want to make sure that for as many keywords as possible, we can get our customers ranked in the search engines ranked in Google Places, you know, out competing for advertising, we want to put these keywords in the blog.
So all these keywords here are keywords that need to be going in the blog. They need to be going into your articles, and we're going to talk about all that. I just want to give you a really good resource that you can use to start doing your keyword research and start figuring out exactly you know what you're wanting to target to help these businesses. This is some information that your business may have not ever seen, okay? Just because they have a website that's targeted. They made it just kind of arbitrary.
Ended up ranking in the search engines and they don't even know why. Okay, you can show them that not only can you help them get better positions, but also rank for more and more keywords and show up in more and more searches and get more and more customers and more and more traffic.
