What's up guys, Zack while here, welcome to another episode of skate school. In today's episode, we're going to be teaching you how to ride down a bank. If you're a beginner skater and you're just learning how to ride your skateboard and ride down hills, but you're not sure about going down banks, this video helped you gain the confidence you need to get down that day. All right. Alright guys. Let's get started.
To get started. Make sure you're very comfortable writing on your board, it helps to already know how to ride down a slight incline before you try riding down an actual thing. When starting to learn how to ride down a bank. Your foot placement is very important. You want to make sure that you have your front foot covering the front bolts of your board with your back foot covering your tail. This makes sure you're extremely stable on your board and helps you keep your balance while riding down the bank.
When you get ready to ride down. Start by giving yourself a little bit of a head start to get a little speed before you start riding into the bank. As you start to lean in. Make sure to lean your weight on your front foot making sure to keep your knees bent in, keep your eyes focused on where you want to go. Using your shoulders to help leave where you want to go. As you ride down the bank, make sure to bend your knees.
This helps to absorb any impact and also helps you to stay stable on your board to ride it all the way. As you get towards the end of the bank. start leaning your way towards your back foot, still keeping your knees bent and staying stable on the board. Keep your feet on those bolts and right away clean. Alright guys, now you've mastered writing down banks, it's time to take it to bigger and bigger ramps. But most of all, have fun.
