What's going on guys? Welcome to another episode escape school. Today I'm gonna be teaching you how to assemble your skateboard. But first, you're going to need a couple key things. Take a trip to your local independently on skate shop. If there's not one around, check out and get online or go visit the store near you.
I can't stress the importance of supporting your local independent skate shop by you actively help support the culture and community in your skating. To get started, you're going to need a list of things. First being a grip skateboard. We'll teach you how to skateboard in the next episode. Next, you're going to need trucks, bearings, wheels and hardware. Once you got all those, now it's time.
To get started. Grab a pair of pliers a screwdriver or an Allen key. For faster setup, grab a ski tool from your local shop and a power drill. The first thing you're going to want to do is get your bearings inside your wheels. Now this can only be a daunting task without a bearing. But if you're by yourself, the easiest way to do it is to push your bearings into your wheels as far as you can with your fingers after that, you trust to shove the bearings all the way to your wheels.
And continue the same for the rest of the wheel. Next, you need to take your wheels up. Make sure your nuts are tight enough to where they're not falling off the axle. loose enough to where your wheels can move back and forth, and spin fast. Make sure your grip skateboard has the hole. Put in your your first truck with the axle pointed inward.
Use the screwdriver To tighten up the bolts until they are pressed into your board to put in the second round of bolts and do it again. Make sure both axles on your trucks are pointed inwards. They tighten up some prefer arm a little bit loose if you're going for cruising or riding down the streets fast, others prefer a tighter trip for more technical.
