All right, this is it, we're gonna test it out. Now you're going to take your business out to the world. Let's just look back for a second. Because right now, there is a lot of work behind you and your business exists. You've created the business model, you've sharpened it, you've gained feedback. You've networked with so many people that you now have your network of professionals, of people who are just like you creating another business and people who are here to help you and support you.
You've also deepened each time better and better. The understanding of who is your client and what do they need. And you have in mind constantly from step one, this financial targets This is the level of income that you want to create with your new business so that you can finally transition from your corporate world and new employment into your full time entrepreneurs life that is waiting For you, and now you're getting closer. We're going to talk about that in the next step. Now, this step is about testing out. So what do I mean?
I mean, official lysing your business presenting presenting it to your clients based in one way or another. My best recommendation is that you find a way to do this via face to face event. It can be in your local town or in another but the point is to present this officially, to people in person. The advantage of this is that you will be able to take pictures from that event that you will put on your Facebook and on your social media that will give you this credibility that your real business with real clients and that things are happening. This is really really key. Of course, if this is not a possibility for you, depending on your business model and idea and concept and where you are.
You can also do this in other ways. For example, digitally, you could imagine or organizing a big Facebook Live event and gathering people there and talking about a subject that is related to your business. This is also an opportunity. You could also decide that in those exhibitions that you now know because you've been attending too many that you decided to participate this time not just as someone walking in through the corridors in the booth but having your own booth with your business identity being present, that will give you credibility. But this step which I call tested out, is actually initializing your business making it real and marking. Really this this this happened is this moment in your business life and journey that represents your official ization of the business to the world.
Okay, for myself, just to share a bit of the our story in Villa farrier. This step was a face to face event which We organize in, in France. And we partnered with the Association of Portuguese locals in the city of Strasbourg. And they provided to us a big room large room where we could organize an event. And so we set a date, which was very ambitious, ambitious at the time, because in January, we decided to do it in May. And my my, my partner thought we would do this in September.
So now may is good just before summer, and it will give us also this extra pressure to make things happen. And this is what we did. So, you know, we prepared the flyer, we had an online page, we started to create our facebook, facebook events and gathering people and this also boosted our community and, and also, we had the brilliant idea at the time and it wasn't mine so I can say it to to contact the local newspaper. And to just share with them what we were about. So we say, Hey, we are organizing this event, the topic is going to be property investment in Portugal. We're doing this in partnership with the local Portuguese Association.
And yeah, we just wanted to let you know in case you want to write about this. And guess what? We had a huge article half a page was a brilliant picture of us. Just the day before the event. We were expecting in our boulders dreams, hundred participants. Guess what happened?
The beginning, no one showed up, then five, then 10, then 12, then 13. And then suddenly 20 5060 hundreds, and we had to add lines and lines and lines of chairs. We ended up with 180 participants on that event. And I can tell you this picture from that event, and the video from that event are still on our websites. And there are signs of credibility. We were Real official business with clients.
And this until today helps us. So that's why this step for me is really key in your journey in your transition. Because now you've worked so much on your business, you've sharpened it, you know clearly what you're all about, then you have your identity. Now you're prepared, you're ready, and this event will mark the sheer ization of your business to the world. Take pictures, take marks, record the videos, you know, use this as a sign of credibility, because because it's real, right now. It's not any more a dream that we're talking about.
We're talking about your business, you know, and you're going to get out of that event with clients, real clients with opportunities for sales. And remember more sales means you're getting closer to your financial targets. And getting closer to your financial targets takes you to the next step, which is fully transitioning to your full time entrepreneurs life. Yeah, and that's what you want. Okay. Now, I realize this video is projecting you in the future because you're watching the course right now.
And you probably don't have all we've talked about in terms of business identity and legal and identity and marketing at this stage. So this video is kind of a projection of what's going to happen so that you can see the journey ahead of you. And then you're just starting right now. But it's okay, because this video is going to stick with you. So watch me again and then go back to those concepts over and over again. As you're progressing with your business and decide when you've worked enough on your business model.
You've sharpened enough your model so that this time has come that you can test it out. And this is this step. I really am wishing to enjoy that moment because it is the first time after so much work, that you're going to get some reward. You're going to get some recognition for everything. You're doing, look at the smiles of your clients. You know, register those comments where people thank you because you're providing them with a solution that they were looking for, and that it was exactly what they needed.
Look at those, forget the critics because you always have critics, you will never make everybody happy. That that's, that's not important, you know, especially the non constructive critics who come from people who are not even potential clients. They don't interest you. Okay, if you have constructive feedback from potential clients, take it on, sharpen your business again, see what's missing. See how you can evolve and shaped differently. This is what you're about as an entrepreneur.
Yeah, you're flexible you you can change and evolve based on your clients and based on the market, that's okay. But this is really the nice moment now you're out there. And it will remain a great memory, in the history of your business and in your journey from where you are to Becoming a full time entrepreneur. So remember that time and enjoy it. And one more thing that I wanted to add, you know, there's meetups that you're attending where you leave, where you meet people and so on. Well, you know the organizers by now, so why don't you ask them if you could benefit from their community to organize your own event?
Explain them that you're willing to test your business out and that you're ready to present it and I'm sure that you will find someone who gives you that chance.
