Step two is about you. It's about your psychology, and how you are going to commit to becoming a new you because the transition is not just functional. It's not just about changing job, you're going to change who you are in this journey. And being a corporate employee. And being an entrepreneur is completely different. And in order to get there, there is a journey.
So this step is about preparing yourself to accept and to commit to your new lifestyle and your new values. So I call it psychology of a side hustler. And what I mean by this is my way of moving from where you are to entrepreneur was to create something on the side while keeping your current job while keeping your current life. So, of course, there is a cost into this, you can't simply create things out of nothing. So what what do I mean by this? I mean commitment.
I mean, sacrifice and work. Yes. So this course is not really funny at this stage. Yeah, I talked about finances and, and you know, it's it's deep, heavy subjects because some people just don't want to look at how much they spend and how much they need. And now we're talking about psychology. I know how deeper can you get?
Well, I promise this is the deepest This is the the most sensitive step in the journey. But I promised you that it was wasn't easy. And I know, it may sound complicated and intimidating, but goes through this. Yeah, just play the game. Just have the faith that it's worth it and worth it and that it's gonna take you to a better version of yourself. And believe me You're not going to regret this journey and trying this out.
So, psychology of a side hustle is just meaning that during this transition, you're going to have two jobs, you're going to keep continue your current job, and you're going to create a new one. So of course, that means more commitment for you more discipline. And that means you're probably going to have to give up on some measures and some of your habits of wasting time that you're going to now invest into building your own business. I can tell you that while I was in the, the peak of my transition, where I was running, still very busy on my corporate job and what I was getting more and more busy on the on the future company I was building. I felt quite exhausted and at times, I had the impression that my life was just about work. But when I look at the results, and when you think about, you know what you're going to get out of it.
And, you know, project yourself into your future life and get from this this energy, this drive, you know, this hunger again to continue to keep going and to do this extra half an hour, which becomes this extra extra hour. So yes, this is what I'm talking about here is, you know, accepting that when you are going to take these two jobs at the same time, that will take on your personal time. So, get ready, you know, maybe TV is going to go away. Maybe you're going to watch a bit less of Facebook or net Netflix TV shows, I don't know. I don't know what you're spending your time on. Of course, you need to secure the fundamentals.
If you've got kids, you still want to spend time with them. You still want to take care of your social life, you know, and your relationships. Of course, I kept up with my sports regime, you know, I didn't want to give up on those things because they were very important to my my well being. So that's not what you're going to give up. What you're going to give up is those times that are really not important and that you spend on waste on things that we don't count. So this work right now, just a little bit like you did on money is looking at how you spend your time on a regular basis, and decide what buckets of time you're ready to give up.
In exchange of your brilliant future life. This is important, remember why you're doing it, you're not just giving up and deciding that you're just going to work for a year or two, for nothing. There is a really big reason for doing this. So anchor this in your mind and your soul in your heart. And now have the courage to decide that you're going to give this up and that you're going to spend more time on preparing your future. Hey, let me ask you, you know what is more important than this?
If you're here, do you really want it and here is the chance here's the opportunity for you to make it happen. So the Decide now take a piece of paper and just list all the activities that you really considered as non important that you're going to give up and exchange with time where you know you're going to focus on your future life.
