Today we're going to talk about life purpose. Actually, you have many life purposes. Your life purpose can change according to which state of life you're in, what state your interests are, or what challenges you may be facing. So it's not like you have to find your one and only life purpose to feel fulfilled. However, it is important to have a sense of purpose about what you're doing now. And if you don't have a sense of purpose, maybe there's something else that would give your life more meaning and joy.
Most people think life purpose means a job or career. But this isn't necessarily so. Raising children is a hugely important life purpose. For many people. Being a mentor can serve as a life purpose for both men and women. The list could go on but you get the idea.
What did you love to do as a child children pick activity based on what's fun, and what they're good at, children don't make decisions based on what they think they should do, like we adults do. They live in the moment, and they look for the pleasure. So whatever you love to do as a child is the pointer to your life purpose. What do you love to do now? What activity makes you lose track of time? Again, the answer to these questions are hints to your life purpose.
If you're not fulfilling your life purpose in some way, then you're probably experiencing a vague sense of disillusionment with life. And let that be a clue that you may be headed in the wrong direction. Then look the list of the things that you love to do and ask yourself when you last did those things was it a year ago? A month ago? Yesterday. These are the activities that need To be regulars in your schedule, when you look at the things that you love to do that make you feel good and energize you, these are parts of your life purpose.
How can you incorporate these things into your life right now? And doesn't have to be in the form of a job, although it can be. So how does this connect to pre diabetes? Well, as you now know, your emotions affect your blood sugar. If you're not feeling purpose in your life, then that's the health issue. So be your own detective.
Dig into your past and present and find those activities that feed your sense of purpose. And then watch your disillusionment turn into joy. Here are your action steps. Write down what you love to do as a child. What do you like to do now? When did you last do these things?
