Now that you've taken some time to start to figure out what you want out of your life, this leads me into the question, which is, why are so many people stuck? I've been there and I'm sure you have to the point where you feel like you've done everything you can, but just cannot seem to move forward. It's frustrating. I know. But I have the answer for you. Why does this happen?
The reason people become stuck is because they lack goals, and they don't know where they are. How can anyone expect to move forward if they don't even know where they are? How can they move forward? If they aren't setting the right goals? The answer, we change the paradigm. At this point, you might be thinking, what is a paradigm and how can it help me?
Those are the exact questions I thought as soon as I heard Bob Proctor mentioned a paradigm and its importance. According to Bob Proctor a paradigm is a mental program that has almost exclusive control over our habitual behavior. And guess what? Almost all of our behavior is habitual in other terms. paradigms are a multitude of habits that are passed down from generation to generation. Think about the foods you like, or even the language or languages you speak, you likely didn't get a choice of what you wanted to eat growing up, and you certainly didn't get a choice in the language that you learned.
I remember on my honeymoon, my wife and I traveled to Aruba. Since Aruba is so small, we decided to do a bus tour around the island as one of our excursions. While touring the island. Our guide was telling us different facts about the island. And the one that stood out most to me was that the Aruban people learn seven different languages by the time they reach the ninth grade. Of course, I was shocked by hearing this information.
I struggled to even learn two languages, however, to the Reubens, they see nothing of it. It's part of their paradigm to learn seven different languages. This shows the power of paradigms. Now let's get back to how we can change the paradigm. There are two ways that I've learned that allow you to change it and I've learned the Both from Bob Proctor. One is through the constant repetition of new ideas against the old ones.
The second is personal experience of an emotional impact. Here's the truth of the situation, a person can never do better than what they do. You can think as many positive thoughts as you want, but if you refuse to take action, your results will stay the same. However, with that being said, I encourage you to try new things. Remember that there is no right way to do something, there is always a better way. To change a paradigm you're going to need something very important, high octane thoughts.
I'm a firm believer that everything there ever was or ever will be created starts in the mind. And if you want to manifest your dreams, you're going to need high octane thoughts. Think of a luxury sports car, let's say a Ferrari. The Ferrari cannot perform at its best and maybe not even at all unless it has high octane fuel. The same can be said about your mind to have it perform at Ferrari. levels, you're going to need to change the fuel.
Take a look at the following diagram. Your current thoughts are down here at the bottom with your current level of results. In order to make a paradigm shift, you're going to need to raise the frequency of your thoughts. The next question that arises is how do I get my thoughts up to that level? The answer is to make a committed decision to go after what you want. That means cutting all ties and never returning to the past.
As Tony Robbins says, when you commit to a decision, I mean really commit to it. You are essentially saying to the world, this is how it will be. He goes on to say that if you find something you're passionate and excited about, and you add decisiveness, you can make anything happen. I remember hearing a story about ancient warriors who took their shifts to the enemy shore. The far outnumber, the leader said burn our ships, we win or we perish. They won.
It was a committed decision that allowed the world To when there was no option except to press on toward their goal. Take a look at this next graphic. Well, it's very similar to the one we saw before. It's symbolism is just as powerful. This graphic represents what we just talked about making a committed decision cutting all ties. It's a funny thing, the way the universe works.
It's almost as if when you say you're going to do something and you fully commit to doing it, the universe corresponds and sends you the resources you need to move forward. This brings me to our next section, which is going to focus on how you can develop goals that are worthy of you
