Hello friends, coming videos I'll explain more about this wonderful breathing techniques which have a tremendous benefit for both mental and physical health. It's a lot more than just breathing air in and out of the body is learning to kind of breed with our whole body with our whole being with all the sub layers of our self as well. Now, we will go from the more gross body from the physical body towards a more subtle body, working with the mind working with the awareness, working with our conscious, etc. So that we start to go into more subtler layers of being as well, because that's a very important part of pranayama. It's beyond just the physical We all know breathing is very important. We do it more than 20,000 times a day.

And to stay healthy, many of us look at the way they eat or the way to do the physical exercises, but not really, if the breathing is alright. Now you can be without food for up to before two days, you can be without water for three days. But try some breathing for 10 minutes. Tell me how you go. Probably not so good. Because of course breathing is very essential with breathing in, we take oxygen into the body that the cells need to reproduce and function properly.

And when we burn energy in the cells, carbon dioxide is being released and that has to go out as well that happens with the breathing out now. So what happens when we don't breathe properly, then there is not enough oxygen in the cells to function properly and reproduce properly which cause all sorts of troubles in the body but also Also the carbon dioxide start to build up in the body, which means that the blood is becoming more and more acidic in an acidic environment is a very good environment for diseases to thrive well and even cancer cells will thrive well in an acidic environment. So what we're trying to develop with these wonderful breeding techniques is to make our breeding strong, healthy and our whole physical and mental well being strong and healthy. Now we have different systems in the body all working wonderfully to get we have our digestive system, our nervous system, muscular system, cardiovascular system and blood flow, our endocrine system, the hormones, etc.

Now, with these wonderful breathing techniques, we can start to influence all these systems in the body. So with our respiratory system with our breathing, we can start to influence our for instance, nervous system now we can stimulate our nervous system or we can calm down to slow down or nervousness, we can bring the blood pressure up, we can bring the cardiovascular system more stronger, we can slow it down, we can influence our digestive system. Research now is also proven that we can even influence our immune system so we can strengthen our whole immune system in our body, etc. So we can start to use our breath as a wonderful tool to influence and balance strength in other systems in the body as well. Like I said before, it's not just about the physical body, it's also starting to learn to work with our mind. And what is very interesting is that the breath is very connected with our subconscious with our mind.

Think for instance, when you feel very upset or you feel angry or agitated or stressed, your breathing is a lot more shallow, your breathing is more fast. And for instance, if you are more calm and relaxed, your breathing is more Deep breathing is more slow and profound. So this works both ways, we can also start to influence our state of mind with our breathing. When we really start to calm down and slow down our breathing, our whole mind starts to calm down and slow down, as well. So let's take a look at the meaning of the breath or the life energy, the life force in Yama means to control that I am a means to expand or to extend. And this is what we're trying to do with pranayama is of course, becoming aware of your breath, learning to control the breath, and then to start cleansing and strengthening the mind and body and deeper layers of the self releasing energy with it.

Then we start to expand into extend the breath and then eventually making the breath more and more Subtle more and more lengthen until it becomes so called, becomes completely effortless. It kind of letting life breathe you. Now, it's important in the pranayama sessions that you never really forced too much to hold your breath. When you sometimes have to hold your breath, you're never forced to breathe slow. So it will all come when you take your time. And when you break this persistently and continuously, the breath eventually will become fairly slow, very deep and almost completely effortlessly.

And then eventually, we can kind of become the door of the breath, and the observer of the breath. That's the interesting thing with breathing. It's something that you can do voluntarily, but also something that happens just by itself. So that's the interesting part of programming that you can start observing your own Dewey, you'll be From the observer and the door, there are many different types of different tools. And some are there to really strengthen or to stimulate your nervous system or to bring toxins out of the body or to strengthen and open up your lungs and respiratory systems and other techniques are there more to slow everything down to make the breeding fairly cold, very slow, very subtle, to make the mind more focused to make the nervous system very calm. And to bring a very clear focus, clear one point, awareness, get one point attention.

This is a very important part in yoga to start to be able to do that, to get one point of attention to become able to go into a state of meditation. So as we've seen out, it's through breeding, we start to cleanse, to generate, and to release energy in the body. Because this is what breeding does. It nurtures us, and it cleanses it nurtures us with life giving oxygen, and it cleanses the co2 from the body. This is what we will be doing. Also on a deeper level, we start nurturing our awareness, our deeper sense of self, when we start cleansing our mind and start peeling off the layers that obscured light of life within ourselves.

And what's also very interesting, as I said before, the breeding is something that happens voluntarily you can choose your breeding, but it's also something that happens by itself. It's his intelligence working through us. It's this intelligence that we are part of and that is a part of us, that we can start to really observe and become aware of learning all these wonderful techniques is a long process. And I would like to really invite you to do this continuously and persistently, day by day, it will have a tremendous benefit on both your mental and physical health and on your whole life you will see, but please, really take your time with this. Don't exert yourself, but don't push yourself too much. Really take it slowly with common sense, feel your own boundaries, how far you can go with things.
