Hi, and welcome back to my course. In this section we're going to be talking about drawing up to scale. And the first thing we need is our site survey with all the dimensions on and we're going to keep that as a reference point. So the drawing paper itself comes in different sizes, and the size means the whole paper. Please keep in mind that you also need a title block with your name, the company name, clients name, address, date scale. So keep that in mind when you're drawing because you will need to leave a gap for that as well.

Also, you never want to draw exactly to the edge of the paper or the title block, because it doesn't look professional. So you always want to leave at least two centimeters gap. Most of the times we usually use a scale of one to 50 for reasonable sized residential projects, or one 200 For large projects.
