So to wrap this up when you're doing your site survey, have a routine series of steps that you follow. The more of a routine you will have less likely you will take those critical measurements from or make mistakes. Start with the house and throw it on the sheet of paper and put your measurements down and work your way around the house. Make sure you document where the openings are. Also what side the hinges are on the door and also document where drainage holes are and where the utilities like gas water electrics come into the house so you know where the point of connection is. The next time they come past and you locate the North Point and again you documented on your drawing.
Next to take another sheet of paper where you draw the footprint of the house much smaller. So you can locate different elements in the garden such as trees, shrubs, lines, water features, anything that you think you're going to need in order to do your design. So when you have all of this information, you now get to do your drawing up to scale. And we'll talk about this in the next upcoming lecture. So when you do it like this, you have a series of steps that you can follow, and it's going to make your life much easier for you, I can guarantee that. So that's it put aside and serve it.
And we're going to move to the next lecture where we're going to talk about different draft equipment, and how to use it. I'll see you there
