Hi, and welcome back everyone. So in this lesson, we're going to start developing a conceptual plan. So what we're going to do, I'm going to show you how I would develop a plan. And we're going to take it through all the stages as in putting the plans graphic on inking and coloring. So let's start with that. So here is my site survey.
And I've got the house here, the windows, the doors and the covered areas as the driveway the carriage patio, and so on. If you are designing a patio or a porch, you need to know that the drawing is ergonomically correct. So you need to draw the hinge and the door on the correct side. We have a sliding door here that's indicated with the graphic. So that's the site plan. These trees were actually existing so I put them on on as well.
Now we're going to have a Look at some photographs that are going to help us to explain and kind of anchor this property down and also talk about the client brief. And then we're going to come back with some trace paper on and put some conceptual ideas for this property. So here is the house, it definitely has a nice architecture to it. And this is the view looking from the patio straight out. So all the existing features are going to play a role in what we will design to keep the flavor of it. So this is the project that we are going to work on.
You can see that there is a style that the client really likes. What they want to do is to have an outdoor space for an entertainment or to have a bit of lawn. They like the kind of Mediterranean style of the planting as well. They want something that would be complimentary to the stone that already used and also want to screen some of the views. So definitely some color, some nice textures and special features. chairs.
So I'm going to distill of these thoughts into the plan that I can take to the clients and present the ideas and get the input back from them. So in the next lecture, we're going to start drawing up these concepts, and play with ideas and find the one that really resonate, the one that you can really run with and take it to the client. Obviously, before that, we will put some plan graphics on included and collaborate. So I'll see you in the next lecture.
