Hi, and welcome back. This is just a quick lesson where I'm going to give you a few quick tips and tricks and show you the difference between a pure conceptual planting plan and the work in planting plan. So a conceptual planting plan is something that you want your clients to be excited about. You're just talking about different ideas. You're not being specific about particular species. The working planting plan, on the other hand is very specific.
You're going to go down to plants, Latin names, you can also put common names if you want and also the amount the exact sizes, every single information that is going to be required for someone that is actually building the job and installing the plants. So here is a conceptual plan. And here none of the plans are specific. They're just drone for effect, I want to have a mass planting here. I want to have some shade and privacy plantings here, some kind of specimen plant here. So you come with this to the client.
This is the kind of planting I'm working with. But I don't know the plants yet. I'll get specific about it in the upcoming planting plan. This, on the other hand, is an official planting plan. And in this the plants are identified and specified with the amount of the plants needed. You can see it's not embellished, it doesn't have to have any color to it.
It's purely a working drawing, and you have to be able to make copies of it. You want to keep it clean and simple. So that in a nutshell is the difference between a conceptual plan and an actual planting plan.
