In this course, we're going to talk about how the CFO establishes, maintains and grows credibility in the face of all the challenges confronting their office. Consider the following list of challenges that might be confronting you are you facing improving the efficiency of your routine transaction process, integrating your systems and information, finding ways to communicate and align performance with strategy, elevating the stature of your finance function by demonstrating strategic thinking and business acumen, fostering cross functional collaboration and teamwork all the while continuing to deal with your reporting burdens and ever changing accounting standards. Most of all, changing the perception of the Office of the CFO from one of CF no to CF go. But before all of this is possible, you need credibility. In my mind, there's no attribute more important for a CFO than credibility, to drive growth and deliver predictability requires credibility as a foundation.
But what makes up credibility? What are its features, its components, its requirements, and understanding the origins of our credibility, we can better understand the ways we can build it or sometimes unwittingly destroy it. In this course, we're going to explore various ideas that help us assess the health of our credibility, we will then look at ideas for establishing credibility. And finally, we will leverage our credibility to drive growth and achieve predictability. My name is Blair cook, and I'm a many times CFO and corporate director.
