Hi guys, welcome back. And it has been an amazing journey so far. Just as a parting gift I wish to share with you one little secret my secret formula for avoiding a hangover. Just as a disclaimer, I am not a doctor. And before taking any of these supplements, I suggest you consult your physician. Neither am I promoting copious amounts of alcohol consumption.
Please understand that the sole purpose of this video is to help you guys and I am not accountable for any of your actions. Just as a disclaimer, now that I have covered my backside, I would like to get into the fun stuff. Going through university I realized that every social interaction or social event involved some of the other kind of alcohol consumption. The best thing for your health and performance of course, is quitting drinking completely. But let's be realistic here. That is not going to happen in a university environment.
The next best thing you can do is minimize the ill effects of alcohol use are three strategies which will help you mitigate the effects of alcohol and help you have next to no hangover. Please be careful, this is not going to work if you drink too much. This is for moderate amount of consumption. So let's jump right into it and my first tip would be hydration. The number one cause of a hangover or a headache after a night of drinking is dehydration. So even before you start partying, we have to make sure that you're well hydrated and you have the right amount of electrolytes in your body.
What you can do is mix half a teaspoon of honey in 250 ml of water and add a little bit of salt to it around half a teaspoon. Make sure you drink four to five glasses of this solution even before you start partying so you're well hydrated once you get into the zone. My second strategy is the choice of alcohol. As a rule of thumb, please try and avoid dark beverages, wine, beer, anything mixed with cola tends to give you worse of a hangover than clear spirits. So my advice is stick to clear liquids like vodka or gin. You can mix it with tonic or zero calorie straight.
And if you can afford it, try and go for middle to top shelf stuff like Grey Goose vodka or Bombay Sapphire gin. Just to make it clear, I have no affiliations with these companies. Number three is choice of supplements and this is where me being the nerd helps you guys a lot. I have done incredible amounts of research and come up with supplements stack which helps you avoid a hangover like magic. So after a night of drinking before you go to bed, what you can do is take the above solution and add the following supplements to it and consume it before you go to bed. So I hope you have your pen and paper ready and here is the list of supplements 400 mg of magnesium 400 mg of milk thistle extract 400 mg of L cysteine.
Five grams of L glutamine and a beaker Flex tablet. Most of these supplements I got to know because of my background in sports science. some or all of these supplements have been used by the fitness industry for a long time now. Thanks a lot for joining me on the journey. And I hope this course helped you. Please comment and share your experiences with me as I'm very curious as to how this affected you and your life.
I would also know your success stories or failure stories if this has not been what you expected. So thank you again, and hopefully I'll make some more courses for you guys. Enjoy your university.
