Hello guys and welcome back. Being broke is not a new concept to any student. I remember once I had to make grilled cheese sandwiches with an iron that was that was out of curiosity that was not because I was broke with every bit of spendable income generated as a student is extremely valuable. And in this video I wish to go through a few ways you can actually go about doing that in your university life strategy number one, tutoring as a university student you know more than you think. If you look around, there are lots of schools around you which are looking for tutors. Parents these days will pay good money for tutoring their kids.
If you have experience in English, a foreign language, computer science, physics or math or any of these topics, you are in high demand. More often than not, you can generate a decent amount of money tutoring high school kids, or even middle school kids. But there is more if you're a senior in university You can also teach freshmen on entry level courses such as math one on one or Computer Science 101 etc. If you are in a university, which has lots of student athletes, they more often than not require a bit of help. athletic programs often include tutoring services, and you can get paid. By tutoring such athletes.
These two options are generally more lucrative than being a TA or a teacher's assistant or even correcting papers for some professors. If you're a person who is not a geek like me, and your skills lie in more social events, what you can do is throw a party by hosting a party and offering some food along with some beers you can generate decent amount of income, but make sure that you say this is voluntary donation, as you can't officially sell food. And from the previous video I remember about the worksheet I asked you to fill. You can add this point to that worksheet and see if you can generate a little bit of money. Number three is delivery services. If you are a person who owns a car in university, you are in higher demand, you can take people grocery shopping with the same voluntary donations idea, and also help a few people around you in the process.
As an example, one of my friends set this up as a freelancing gig in which he used to help the old people around his area to go grocery shopping. Not only that, he got a decent amount of money from that, but he also got a lot of cookies. If you want to set up something like this, you can go to your business advisors. Every University has one or two of the startup or business advisory committees and ask them how can you officially set this up. If you're lucky, they might be able to connect you with the right people. And with a few old age homes, that is exactly what my friend did.
And he earned quite a bit of money during his university time. He pretty much paid for all of his college just doing this as a side gig. That's it from my side. And if you guys have any suggestions or ideas, please post it in the forum as it will be useful to your peers and it will also be useful to me for my future projects. Thanks a lot and in the next video, we'll go over some fun stuff on how to avoid a hangover after a night of partying. See you then
