Welcome to the world of sound design. Sound Design is something that most video editors stay away from. If you are lucky enough to have a sound designer, whether you work at a company, you do freelance or you're part of a team, and you can send your work your finished edit, to be professionally sound designed, do it. It's fantastic. And it will elevate your work almost every time. I have very fond memories of finishing my own work and then sending it to a sound designer and getting it back after he finished what he was doing.
And it was just so much better, so much fuller, and it's a more complete experience. So if you have that opportunity, definitely do it. But in most cases, we're not that fortunate. It could be budget, it could be anything. Sort of reason that you have to do the entire video by yourself or the entire edit. Luckily, there's some easy techniques for sound design to get into the world of sound design, and start doing some simple things that are appreciated by the viewer and by your clients.
It shows a little bit more dedication of going above and beyond what your job description might be. It really is a way to bless the entire experience.
