In many ways, speaking to a really large audience is the same as speaking to any sized audience, even a small audience, there's always the chance, you make a horrible impression. I hope not. But there's always that chance. There's a chance you make no impression, which is what happens to most people most the time, there's a chance you make a great impression. And there's a chance you make a great impression. And you actually communicate ideas that people understand and remember.
That's what I believe your goal should be. That's what you should be focusing on. Your goal can't be Oh, I just want to get through this. That's a defensive negative mentality. That's like the beginning of your year going to your financial advisor saying All I care about is don't lose money. Well, in that case, stick it in your mattress and hope there's no inflation.
That'll solve that problem. That's a horribly negative, negative Goal is very low ambitions, I want you to have high ambitions for this speech. Because it's a great way of distinguishing you from competitors, from peers from others because most people are too afraid to speak in front of large crowds, they'll turn down the opportunity now you've got a chance to shine. So please, please keep that in mind. Realize that it's just not that hard to speak in front of a large audience, but you've got to be focused
