I want you to go to YouTube, and just type in great acceptance speeches, or great Academy Award acceptance speeches. There's a lot of different ways you can search but you will find tremendous speeches. Most of them are brief because they are acceptance speeches on TV.
They're usually always funny. They have an emotional moment. And they don't seem perfunctory, the thanks seem genuine. So take a look. Right now you can see everyone from Michael Douglas to Robin Williams, and Adam Sandler. They've all had great acceptance speeches from time to time.
Now you might be winning a speech for the best accountant in your county you might not feel the need or the ability to be wildly funny but you can still learn from the masters. So please go to YouTube. Type in great acceptance speeches and just get a sampling
