So in this video, I wanted to talk about working with ineffective virtual assistants. Now I had a particular situation where I had hired a bunch of writers whose work, and everyone was doing a great job. I even had this one girl, she was doing a really, really great job, very, very affordable. And she ended up basically being really, really late on a bunch of my articles. And this kind of became a problem because obviously, I was delivering this to a client, it wasn't for myself, and I had a deadline that I needed to kind of uphold, and she had just ended up completely telling me for days and days and days that you do the articles and never ended up doing them basically said she would eventually do it for free and I tried not to actually pay her for prior work because I was so upset that she really kind of screwed me over and ended up telling me she would do the work, you know, regardless and just eventually get it done or do some extra free stuff.
Never did it and it It kind of sank because I had already left her some good feedback from the prior work she'd already done. So I had no recourse to go back and say, Hey, this, this person kind of, you know, really left me in a bad spot and didn't deliver on time didn't uphold her promises. So this is just something that I want you to be aware of that you may end up dealing with people like this, I would probably give people you know, maybe a week or two before you go and leave them positive feedback, if you're gonna plan to work with them a little more consistently, I would also just take the time to make sure that they're really able to maintain the reliability of getting the work done, they're able to do everything that you asked them to, and they're not gonna leave you in a bad spot, depending on the scenario.
I mean, in this case, I was using the article content creation for a service for another client of mine. So with this other person, I was relying on them, you know, this writer to get this work done and because they didn't actually do it on time, that really, really left me, you know, terrible situation with this client. And you know, I didn't have the work on time, so I had to keep pushing them back and they actually were ready to like cancel on me because the work wasn't happening quickly enough. So I was about to lose, you know, hundreds of dollars in revenue for the service, because of the fact that I couldn't get these articles done. We're using them for SEO purposes. That's why it was hundreds of dollars.
But yeah, just really wanted to mention that just really be aware of when you're working with people, make sure to take the time to you know, kind of do your due diligence with testing them out and making sure that they're going to be able to get the work done. Something really just to stay on top of
