Hi guys. So now I'm going to show you how to put in hot rollers. I'm going to do this strip down the front and then we will see a really nice wave. This is a mannequin head and her her red hair kind of reminds me of Jessica Rabbit or that Lauren Bacall or that 1940s Look, we have a pin curl set on this side that we did in a previous video. Now I'm going to put in the hot rollers. I'm going to make sure that there's not too much hair in the roller and that is not too wide.

To really get that look. That's what you need to do is make sure the hair is not spilling over the edges of the hot roller. I have a brand A new set of hot rollers. My all hot rollers are so old. I treated myself to a new set for the videos. Even with hot rollers, and direction is important, I usually start right about here and get all those ends in and then go down.

So, I'm not a fan of these clips. They're kind of bulky and then getting away, especially if I'm going to do a tight set. So I just use a regular old silver clip. And I'm going to just take a little piece of the hair and a little piece of the scalp hair and just do that. So now it's nice and clean and it's not in my way for the next one I'm sometimes I'm not sure exactly what, what the reasoning might be for not doing hot roller sets anymore. I did a lot of hot roller sets.

And I know it might seem like while there's dead time when it's warming up, but what I did in the salon is you know, teenagers are always hanging out with their friends. So here I'm going to click just up at the top and push them together like that. So teenagers are always, you know, come in pairs, and when I would do proms and I was in pretty high demand. I was double book so when the hot rollers went in, do quick consultation and hot rollers Go in and I was started the second girl. So I was always working on two heads at a time at least. And I found that just to really be like, Okay, I'm busy, I'm doing hair.

And I'm not standing there with one client for like an hour or 45 minutes or however long it takes to do enough due. I'm moving around. And there there's kind of like a bus, it's kind of fun. And so that's how I would do my prompts and i would i would book on the 15 minutes or I would tell the girls to come in with their friends. And that's how I made more money doing upstairs and hot rollers. Even if this style that we decided to do, didn't call for hot rollers.

I would still throw them in there for Bonnie and fullness because I knew needed to be in my system and that meant someone had to sit with hot rollers for a little bit. And then you know, then I worked on the next kid and it was a great system. So there's the last one. Actually since I'm now at the end I probably could get away with not used to these, but there you go. Okay. So now traditional hot rollers.

And let's see what that does. You better get the pin curls and I can see it already. The pink girls are flatter. Okay and the hot rollers are gonna be bounced here and that you'll still get the pattern which you get a flatter look with the pin curl. You're gonna get a bounce your luck with the book. Stay over there girl.

We're gonna get a bounce here luck with the high rollers. Little more. corkscrew a little bit more springy a little bit more springy a little bit more cork, screwy. puff up in here. More bounce. And with a pin curl set, just going to get that sexy, flat, vintage look.

So if you want vintage 1970s you do this side. If you want vintage 1940s you do this side so make it for today.
