Okay, we now have here our main band drum box. I'm just going to show you a quick and easy way of labeling the tails and possibly a couple of little conveniences. These are the tails. This is a fan into the main stage box for the white soccer packs which is box a. First thing I'm going to do is I'm going to label the soccer packs clearly box a. It does make some significant difference where you label the soccer packs connector.
There is only one way that you can connect these two together. There is a small spline here that locates in a key way on the box. They connect together like this. And then the collar is screwed in. It's a little bit of a tricky process. take some getting angles you can have it's located properly now.
There we go. I'm now going to label this box a and tail a nice and clearly. There we go. There's no mistaking that. Now, in order to label these individual XLR properly, and clearly, there's a nice little shortcut that I like to use. Firstly, for convenience sake, this is a 12 pair fan in.
I've separated the tails into three little types of four here, and 124, a labeled four, five to eight are labeled eight, and the last four labeled 12 there so we can quickly and easily identify them without having to look the numbers on each individual XLR, you only have four choices. So I'm going to take the first four of them These XLR RS and I'm going to plug them they're labeled 124. I'm simply going to plug them into the box in that ascending numerical order 123 and four. There you go. You can clearly see they are in the appropriate order. I'm now going to take a piece of white tape, put it across all four of the accidentals here.
And I'm just going to cut the roll off. And we go and in order just to make quick easy labels, all I do is take the Swiss knife and cut the individual pieces of tape. And there we go. Four nice neat labels. I will now write the appropriate names on the XLR that you can see are already labeled here on the tape. This way, it makes it really quick and easy to do.
And it's difficult to make a mistake. I can assure you it's not imminent. I've made mistakes during this many times, but it helps to eliminate errors. So I shall now just label these kick in, kick out, and so on. And when I've done those four, I'll unplug them and I'll do the next four. And I'll do this with all of the boxes.
That way when I come to plug this guy into the stage box, it's a quick and easy process because the tails are all already labeled up. All I have to do is to match them to the similar labels on the main stage box and it'll all work first time hopefully
