This episode can be titled The Naked me. Why? Because I'm going to unbutton my shirt and show you my lavalier microphone, an ATR 3350 that costs around 20 $18 I'm recording this video on an iPhone six s which I bought because I wanted to produce this content and also have a Word for Mac addict. I'm not sharing the price for the iPhone six is because for your first course most smartphones will do. Usually it's not a video quality problem. The main issue people have when filming talking head is the light.

Here are the lights doing that it's one in front, one in the back. The one in front is pointing at my face. The one in the back is separating me from the background. And they also have two other lights here. I For the background, I also have an iPad to acting as a prompter in the back behind my iPhone camera, which I can pause because I have a Bluetooth keyboard like here. I can also start and stop my camera with this thing.

It's from eBay just if you search for a tripod camera for iPhone, you can find the things coming as a bonus, very simple click Alright, sometimes my prompter is quickly walking forward, I paused it. And sometimes I can pause the content without the audience noticing. That's another interesting thing. There are some factors that go by voice. And I need to shout louder so that the iPad can record my voice. But I found that there are some sentences that I know why probably because I'm not a native English speaker.

I don't speak them clearly enough. And as the result the iPad doesn't quiet understand what I'm saying and it doesn't scroll down. Still, it usually scrolls down and it allows me to deliver one to two minutes lectures very fast, but for these long, long, long recording, I'd rather have a prompter that goes automatically. So that's my impressive studio. And before this I filmed my videos with an iPhone 3g s. Camera. Yes, my country just camera.

I'm not editing this out so you can see that I also do mistakes. And I did it in the morning because I need natural light coming through my windows because I had no lights. So this is an upgrade to my previous previous previous to the end. One by one. I just bought the equipment as I needed it. So talking about frugal.

So my advice for you is for your first course keep it simple and use what you have your smartphone or do screen recording using your laptop's microphone and screencasting software after you get your first few hundred bucks started investing because this video I did another mistake. So I can pause this and just say what's in the screen and then unpause it without the audience necessarily noticing let's see if you notice pause this video and read the effect is the mistake technical that's not an English word. So pause this video and read the technical equipment documents for recommendations on what to buy and what not to buy. Have you noticed me pressing the spacebar? Great. Most video equipment has a lot of buttons and options.

Lighting can be placed one way, two ways, three ways four ways or otherwise, or do you need to charge batteries? And there are a lot the there is a lot of stuff to take into consideration when recording, but not for your first course. Here you will need to concentrate on delivering quickly and figuring out the very minimum in order to proceed to the next step. One thing always take into account what's the frame your video is recording because what I thought was that previously when you are thinking that I scratched my body, I didn't scratch my part. I was actually taking this to show that here is the place where you put your battery for the audio. And yes, it's on.

I checked it before. If you don't know the frame through which you're being recorded, you will do things like this and the audience will be haha he's scratching his baton video and that's not a good thing. Alright, so I'm I'm going to just press base and you are not going to notice it. So in the next document that I invite you to parse called recording guidelines, you have the recommended settings for your technical equipment as well as some tips and tricks. Pause this video now and check the recording guidelines document. It's an easy read.

I once had my laptop fans recorded while I spoke on my microphone. It sounded like I was in traffic. Another time I completed a full day of recording and noticed there was no sound I forgot to turn on my lavalier microphone. After preparing the equipment you need to test it. So pause the video and test your setup by creating a small recording. Ideally, a one minute how to for your course.

Check sound quality video quality and get some feedback from your audience. If there's any issue record again, it happens to us all. How to deliver great content in a nutshell, would catch rates right? To tell you the truth, it takes years of practice. And to tell you the absolute truth. You don't need to have those perfect delivery skills.

You only need some practical advice. Great. During the last seven years, I held numerous public speaking trainings and workshops. I was also the president of a Toastmasters club in my town. Toastmasters being a world leader in communication and leadership development, present in 135 countries with more than three 300,000 memberships and 15,000 clubs This information could have been cut off, but I lead you to see that I can also over the river. From these experiences, I collect a lot of do's and don'ts, general tips, as well as specific techniques that provide you with the minimum information you need to improve your delivery.

So not that much information as I told you about all those clubs. In the document titled deliver great content, you uncover voice tips, prompt of tips, how to narrate presentation tips, how to deliver good presentation, dips, etc, etc. So pause the video and check the document. Great, now it's showtime. I calaca boom, boom, boom, boom. You've seen how I behave on camera.

And at the end of the previous materials, I also zoomed out and told you why I did why I did. So you also have an insight into how this course was created. Now it's time for you to record your own course the time for advice and motivation is gone. Camera, check, sound, check, light, checked 321 action, pause the video and hit record on your own video. It took some time. It's late afternoon after quite some work, and the only thing left is to edit the footage.

Now, I know we all want perfection, cutting out all those ohms and ahhs. But forget about all of that. What you need to do is to cut the beginning and ending part of your videos. So they start when you start speaking and they stop when you finish your delivery. That's about it. Find out how through that and much much more by pausing the video and reading the dazzling effect that enjoy the last chapter helps you with the logistical information, you need to set a price and optionally add some bonus materials.

What I recommend here is do not overthink it, set the price. Launch Your course, get the feedback relaunch the course with with some new lessons updated the content and the price to reflect the changes. I discovered how to set the right price for my audience by asking them a simple question. That question allowed me to offer them a better deal than what they expected while sending for the best return on my investment. To find out more. Pause the video and read The perfect price challenge
